Ethan le Pong deserved to be the Thuy on London right now. He sounds wonderful and you can actually understand what his singing. On top of that his actually Vietnamese.

I saw it a couple of weeks ago and I agree. Sangwoong Jo was good but his accent was so strong so many people in the audience didn't know what he was saying.

+nobase , +Bethan Richards, As you might know, Ethan Le Phong is actually Vietnamese-American (he moved to the US at the age of 3) so it's natural that he doesn't have an accent and the audience can understand what he is singing. Phong is wonderful, but I kind of feel sorry for Sangwoong Jo because he has to be compared with (or compete with) a native speaker.

+oeac13 I thoroughly enjoyed the whole production of Miss Saigon. Sangwoong Jo was very good in fact I loved his performance. I just felt when I was watching, the audience around me were disconnected from his singing. Yes I'm aware of Ethan Le Phong's background, I know it's harsh to compare singers at times but in my opinion my favourite Thuy's are Ethan and Kwang Ho.
