i need a skill builder on tying down wire, like after wrapping the ribbing on a nymph. Whenever I use round wire like brassie size or bigger, I have all kinds of issues. The thread always wants to slide down the wire and I struggle to get it securely anchored and tied down consistently. there has to be some kind of trick to get consistent results.
FYI, if you have some pretty ugly looking Maribou, you can brush it out with a Stumpo Velcro brush, and it improves the feathers look by at least two times. I learned this from the Ozarks flying guy tutorial.
Thanks for the bead advice......always confused me as a beginner.....appreciated
Great tips on tying Marabou. Thanks, Cheech.
Googily eyes!
That fish looks more like PacMan! Cheech coming to New Jersey for the Symposium ?
