very informative video about the basics of CLI for aws and linux in general. This course is a goldmine for a beginner to intermediate learners. I appreciate you putting in the work on Saturdays to make this content available!
I am new to github and gitpod.. I wanted to set the env var to gitpod but afraid to do so because i don't know if it is secure or not but this video verified my doubt.. Thank you for this bootcamp again 😇 so pumped to learn new things from you ✌️
Great video. One thing I notice is that in the middle of a task you seem to get distracted showing other stuff with lots of "should be here" and "anywaaayyysss..". Then after a couple tangent you go back and pickup the task we were working on. Its a bit hard to follow at times. Especially when I got back to reference. It's like filler episodes in Anime!!! If you could complete the tasks, then go off on the tangents to add that extra information it would flow much more smoothly. Thanks for the video either way.
My Gitpod is not installing the AWS CLI with the script provided. I can install it manually but when I log back into Gitpod it doesn't install. it curls and unzips in where it's suppose to be but no install. Anyone run into this issue?
TH-cam doesn't autogenerate them in all cases, so we have to manually generate them using third-party software. Its the weekend, I'm not asking employees to come in on a Monday, just to get you captioning today. Just hold on.
Hello Andrew, thank you for this video, i am stuck on trying to install cli on gitpod , i am using mac OS. but in your i figured you are using a linux operating sysytem. i am confused on how to install using a mac os i tried serching the intenet for a guidance video but i coudnt understand much . please any advice on how to go about this, without installing the gitpod installing, i cant do so much. The bootcamp is suitable for individuals with prior knowledge in cloud computing, including those with an Associate-level certification or relevant on-the-job experience.
I think it will come down to your mailserver and mailclient filtering it out, or the email you entered in is wrong. Its unlikely to be SNS not sending the email.
I faced same issue too, on that page where you clicked on open VSCode, click on "more options" botton and from there, you will find open vscode in browser. That will solve the issue. Exactly what I did.
yes u can open it in your local vs code ! for me the first time i created the workspace , i got to choose how to open it either on browser or on my local .

9:39 I think AWS Budgets will cost 0.10$ per day after 2 budgets, which means 3$ per month.

@ExamPro again no closed captioning?! Please enable auto-generated closed captioning next time to make the content accessible for everyone.

Andrew completion of the bootcamp would be closer to a cloud engineer than an solution architect right?

Hi Andrew, when I type any command starting with aws in the terminal, I get bash:not found error. should I install any extension?
Is the whole bootcamp thought for beginners, associate or professional level?
The bootcamp is suitable for individuals with prior knowledge in cloud computing, including those with an Associate-level certification or relevant on-the-job experience.
The Usage budget is greyed out. How do I enable it?
