Electronics 101: How to Solder EL Wire (NO COPPER TAPE)

EL Wire aka Electroluminescent Wire - Is the currency at festivals such as Burning Man. If you love flashy colours for parties, events, even just ambient lighting in decor, then EL Wire is something you should have a look at. In this video I show how to cut and add your own plugs to this wire so you can use it for length specific projects!

Looks very nice and clean! Don't see the need for copper tape otherwise than making a good eletric joint, but as you have done looks completely safe. Did you ever tried those controllers with 5V instead of 3v? Does it glow more? I would love to have more glow!!!! ;) Thanks for your share! Keep up the good working!!!
