    This is so cool, I loved Germany when I went there. If I were to do a foreign exchange student program I would do it in Germany, or Ireland

    Germany is amazing I prefer München/Bavaria. I almost cried when I was in the Alps from how much beauty was around me. So incredibly grateful I was able to be there.

    German unis allow more and more English papers and courses, but you shouldn’t forget that German universities prepare mostly for the German job market as most global corporations and companies have offices in Germany and you don’t have to go abroad to find good jobs. Even if you want to work for Google or Apple, you can do that in Germany.

      @@rigersbudlla3075 sure, what state are you in? You should just search for some "Wohnung Anmeldung" for students, there are some sites that help you with that
      Search for "The-Fizz Accommodation", they have wohnungs in many cities here in Germany, you allocate an "studio" which is kinda expensive, but it's very worth

    It's not free. The video gives the image that all universities and states have free universities. Stuttgart charges almost 2000€ for students coming outside Germany

      They can't charge you if you're from an EU country :) this is because the EU forces all countries to treat you as if you're a citizen of whichever country you're in.

    The students fees are more close to 400€
    And it's not easy to find a place to life in Berlin. When U are not willing to pay at least 600€ a month for a small room with some roommates.

There is just never enough living space for all the students, and the waiting lists for dormitories (they exist!) are longer than my... they are very long. Flat sharing is the best way, there are websites to find a place in a shared flat.

      @@Baccatube79 Oh I'm very much aware of that. I myself am a uni student in Germany. Most times it's just a matter of a lot of searching to fi d a good deal. Or as you pointed out, living in a WG. Still the question remains if you really need to study f.e. Maths at the LMU in Munich or can study somewhere else where the programm is also very good.

    what i like is that they try their best to give jobs later. unlike many other so called super countries where educational institutions are only for money generation from foreigners. germans actually consider those whom they have taught!!

      @@e.458 this happens in many countries esp in all state/government/public schools and universities. still the corruption and bureaucracy has taken over the world.
      however here i am talking about those foreign students who come to germany for masters. they only study 2 years or sometimes even 1 year but they have a promising future here. keeping the education department corruption free (or with less corruption) is certainly not a small thing

    Is this girl sudying in English or in German? In any case, you'll have to deal with a bunch of Behörden in German, and they won't want ot speak in English to you. You have to come prepared. Also just passing the TestDaF is not enough in practice to comfortably study engineering, as I found out the hard way.

    13 years of previous study sucks. I'm from Bangladesh and I need to study in an university here for a year just to eligible. We study all of the topics yet for some reason those are not recognized. Moreover there is the long visa waiting time. 2+ years to be exact.

    This is just wrong please check out the university pages specifically for non german (maybe eu) citizens. There you can get the correct tuition fees which are significantly higher!!

      Nope, not at a real university. They are tuition free for all. The "Semesterbeitrag" (150-300€) is technically not tuition, but a stipend that includes some insurances, administrative fees and a semester ticket for public transport in the region).
      Maybe it's different at private for-profit institutions (Fachhochschulen), but not for a proper uni. In Germany, those are state run and (for the most part) much more renowned than private institutes - with few exceptions.

      Only in one small part of germany there are high fees for students from non-EU-Countries. In general it is free besides the small amount for administratiom etc.

    German language is hard to learn as more you progress the harder it gets. The people can be cold and racist to foreigners, there are not many activities to do as a student, the campus life is not that interesting as they can be quite introverted and awkward. I don’t know. I expected too much from Germany before coming here to study I guess. I was warned I wouldn’t make German friends by social media, but as an extrovert, I thought that would be no issue but after 2 years I have no German friends and all my friends/roommates at a student dorm are foreigners. Sometimes I wish I would’ve gone to the Amsterdam/Oslo/Vienna to do my master’s! I’ve traveled there and people are much friendlier, warm, and have no issue speaking English themselves there.

      @@shatteredteacup03 komisch, eine einfache Uni in Niedersachsen. Später wurden es eher 420€/Semester aber nicht tiefer

      I’ve seen international students from different master programs do it, but I’d say it depends on your own personality & the city where you live in. If you choose to live in a smaller city you may have less struggles & be able to invest more time on your courses. On the other hand job opportunities are kindda limited in smaller cities. It’s not an easy decision to make & I think you’ll find better answers if you talk to students of your major. Good luck 😊

      Usually you get legal problems over 20 hours per week as you are no longer considered full-time working. Also might have restrictions with the visa.
      And depending on the subject they will expect you to be at uni literally full time working hours (aka 40hours)

      Yeah, the Semesterbeitrag + Semesterticket it's a lot of money for a student 😅 Around like 300 - 450 € for both each Semester 😅

      There are some tuition-free English-taught programs in Germany, but If you want to study in a German-taught program, you will generally need to demonstrate a certain level of German language proficiency, often through standardized tests.
