I don't know why I always get teary when I see the 4-2 point. There is so much talent and grace in that point. That's two special champions giving their all.
"Don't worry, go for it man" on the tough shots causing Alcaraz to fall. Followed by "I cheer for you" in defeat. What a guy. You can tell Sinner reciprocated the respect too. Surely, one of the most wholesome at the same time intense rivalry out there across sports all around. Super cool.
People were asking what would happen to tennis after Novak, Rafa and Roger retired. This is what will happen, people. Tennis is in good hands. I could watch these two play for many more matches to come.
These two will be rivals for a long time. Glad to see a new generation of talented players who will have many years of tennis ahead of them and more exciting games against each other.
What gracious words by Carlos to Jannik after the end " Go for it man, I cheer for you". We all give cheers to many more epic contests between these two !
Lose or win, Sinner is my favorite Tennis pro! He is determined to improve his game, and has no fear to go up against the best of them. Congrats, Jannik!
Could you elaborate on why he's your favorite? There's been a lot of hype around him this last couple of years that I really don't get. I think he's one of the most boring player playing in top 20 rn. Maybe that's just me
People forgetting just how Good Carlitos was until Wimbledon last year and also in large parts of 2022. No guarantee at all he beats Sinner, but he looks more like his old self in Indian wells. Total coin flip.
Completely agree. I stopped watching him after his recent struggles; but watched some of his Indian Wells matches and was reminded why when I saw him at the U.S. Open vs. Sinner in 2022, I thought he had the most raw talent of any player I'd ever seen. Obvious Sinner's climb has been relentless, but Carlos at his peak is better than anyone in history. And I say this as a HUGE sinner fan. Alcaraz simply has the most complete game of all time. I have never seen anyone put so much pressure on other players and be so DEMORALIZING in his defense.
This match was just poetry | especially with that crazy rally in the first set. Can’t get enough of seeing this great players play on the tour. Vamos Sinner & Carlitos 🙌🏼👊🏼💪🏼
Im following ATP tour now for 35 years. If Sinner stays focussed and on ground he will be the next long time No.1. Incredible power and smart decisions.
Not only one of the greatest matches ever played, but one of the most beautiful moments of tribute to one another at the net afterward. These two elevate the game together. Here's to many more years of exemplary sport and sportsmanship 🙏🙏🙏
No doubt THE best tennis we've witnessed perhaps since RF graced the courts? The point at 2:28 would top any highlight reel....Congrats to both men, and Jannik for pulling it out in the end.
After losing Federer,Nadal and soon Nole I was affraid there's gone be a big quality hole but these guys are insane.Their athleticity is absolutely out of this world.
One of the best matches that I watched this year. Now, we have two great champions. I am a fan of Sinner. I like his talent, manners and professionalism.
It's true. We should remember too though that Sinner is almost two years older than Alcaraz, and look at the huge strides Jannik has made in just a year. This rivalry could go anywhere. Thrilling to watch it evolve.
@@Fraudkovic Sinner was a tough matchup for Alcaraz even before he improved and now Sinner improved a lot and owns everyone. I don't see what you see in Alcaraz

The level of Tennis is astonishing! Speed of forehand shots, drop shots, passing shots, baseline shots, and covering the court, everything is so incredible nowadays. Happy to see the serve and volley game of the 90s has died its natural death.
Hate to hear 1 sports commentator biased, angled for Alcaraz, if you total his adjectives: Rapido.. already striking a blow.. majestic.. beauty.. (and for Sinner?) Suddenly draws back his comments little by little or kept silent once Sinner hits a winner 😂😅
Love Sinner vs Alcaraz matches, it's the clash of styles that these two possess, looking forward to their upcoming 8th installment of a blooming rivalry - 2024 IW semi
Coming in a day before they set off for Indian Wells, I'm hoping for the same level of intensity, as they both look very sharp and focused. Whoever wins, I'll be really happy with a 3-set outcome. 🙌
Sinner is great but Alcaraz is pure talent. He is like the son of Nadal and Federer. I have never seen such a variable tennis on such a level. The problem are the surfaces. Tennis got more focussed on fast surfaces so very technically skillful players like alcaraz or musetti have big disadvantages...
This is so special. The quality of tennis is indescribable even for those who have most of the greatest tennis players. The future of tennis is just bright
The 2 biggest hitters of the game, blasting rockets 🚀 to each other. Sinner one-upping Alcaraz with his smarter game. Carlos still risking with the drop shots. What a rivalry!
Its not on purpose. It happens naturall when you're swinging hard off the back foot. Every pro on tour hits that shot at times. Its just a question of how open they get into a situation where they need to hit like that.
It looks like Alcaraz's supernatural recovery shots in the first two sets hurt him physically in the end (maybe the ankle or the foot) and it's pretty clear to see in his movement. It's just too bad because he played so well and would have gotten that extra nobody else has to beat Sinner.
