the thing about heelflips is when you get them dialed you can pop them from your regular feet position, its only the slightest front foot shuffle to go bigger. in saying that this guys heels are still on some other shit.

Yea for some reason when you do a good one it just wants to suck up to your feet more so than a kickflip maybe that’s just me
I'm a kickflip guy but planning on learning heelflips this summer. Once I re-learn kickflips first. 😅
That Ollie first concept takes time to get down. Because the timing is very subtle. Takes a lot of control mentally
man neens so right about thinking about flip tricks like and ollie i flick my kickflips almost late and this one kid i know used to think i was late flipping
Interesting point, do you catch you kickflips when still going up or do you crouch to land them? Whenever I try to ollie and then flick, I end up not having enough air time to land. It's weird too, because the varial kickflips I've landed felt way more like doing a front foot flick and backfoot scoop simultaneously from the moment you pop the tail. There's no pop, get air and then do it there. And I hear a lot of people say to not think of a kickflip as two separate tricks in one (ollie + flip).
Lizard king has the same advice for kick flips Ollie then flick , a deathwish thing
How bout it. Lizards are my fav kickflips and Neen obvi has favorite heelflip. Death wish is cool
Never thought a heelflip could look so good, and then Neen came along.
Landed my first one 2 years ago there still ass but randomly I can sometimes land them first try I can even do halfcab ones on a good day, then whenever I try put them in lines or film one they just don’t work but kickflips once I learnt them I had them no problem, heels are my nemesis

That's how I do them. Putting them on the middle of the tail or the opposite pocket makes no sense to me.
Same, only difference is that my front foot is slanted to the nose for a varial heel and to the tail for a inward
