you must have explained more about punjab in the beginning. Guru Nanak Dev ji was born in talwandi(now in pakistan punjab) in 1469.Punjab was divided in 1947. half of punjab is in india and half in pakistan. it was a very large state. you showed present day punjab on map but at that time when pakistan was not created,most of the land belonged to punjab. So guru saab was born in western punjab which is now a part of pakistan.
no if we Write PANJAB then he can pronounce correctly as many my white friends pronounce PUNJAB same as him POONJAB but when i write it PANJAB then they pronounce correct..
let his pronounciations slide he actually described the info well.. better than other "sikhs" "Basic of Sikhi" on youtube is good platform for understanding Sikhism
As a Muslim I'd like to say this is a beautiful religion and we do agree with quite alot of Sikhs principles. Such as the 5 theives, the equality with men and women and racially. And the serving of others to rid us if ego and gain a higher level of spirituality. Thanks for the video. I always wondered about this religion.
Islam does not teach equality. If it did then there wouldn't be a rule of 2 women's testimony = 1 man. They wouldn't impose a tax for non-believers if they cared about equality and they also wouldn't use primarily African slaves if they gave a crap about race.
Thank you much for the helpful information you've given here! As a student, these are quite helpful, and I hope anyone who doesn't know much about religion gets the chance to see your videos.

ronki23 Khalistanis and Sikhs are the same thing. Lol. Your deffo not even Sikh to say that. N nah we hate Gandhi too as he made a comment saying Guru Gobind Singh ji is a rebel.

i m a Buddhist but have immense respect and love for every religion and that too personally i like Sikhism more than other religion bcuz they dont discriminate each other and allow everyone in Gurudwara irrespective to a person religion, caste and creed.
And this make Sikhism more great than others.
Guru Govind Singh 🙏🙏🙏🙏❤❤
Vinay Pawar Buddhism is also one of God's beautiful ways to reach Him. I respect Sikhism and Buddhism both.

Ur note ur profile Pic. Sikhs don't show themselves like that and that's coming from a sikh
Not only did you get your facts right, you described them in the most perfect way possible...I hope TH-cam recommends this video to more people and not just to Sikhs!
You know more than most sikhs themselves! Nice editing and keep it up!
Tarun Singh most people don’t know much about their own religion otherwise they would leave it.
I m a sikh and this guy has explained way better than most of our sikh preachers...hats off..stupid people still complaining about his pronunciation...
+Mandeep Singh thanks. It’s the best this guy from Buffalo could do
@@hiphughes , aww! You did great, sir! :)

Thankyou for creating this video 🙏🙏🙏
Thank You for this awesome video. I'd just like to say, keep up the great work.
Gandhi was against sikhs. He was very cleaver and back stabbed sikhs. Hypocrite.
Tara Singh sided with Gandhi. He (Gandhi) never wanted India to be divided- it was Muslim league who forced Britain to divide India into 2 (later 3)
@@BRARRAJDEEP Mind your language
@@ronki23 you’re blaming Muslims for the partition instead of the colonizers who literally created this division and the problems which were perpetuated?
@@oosa358 in 1946 in Calcutta there was a riot instigated by the Muslims called "Direct Action day" 5000 people were killed in the riots, 4000 being Hindus and Sikhs. After "Direct Action Day" there were even more riots throughout what was then known as India so there was no choice but to partition India. They believed if they didn't partition India there would be riots all the time. India has the 3rd largest Muslim population in the world and the Muslims who stayed behind are liberal, open minded and tolerant.
Sikhism main principles are.....
Do hard work(honest)
Do meditation(not according hindu, Buddhist or Jainism ways)
Do social services (give food, clothes, and shelter to needy)
The best thing about religions that have developed in the sub-continent is their communion. A Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain can visit, eat, live, marry and so on among each other without losing their own self identity or imposing their views on others. That's our strength.
Your strength won't find you salvation. Only Christ can
what?
Jesus-is Lord. , Exactly, If you had asked that "What" before.. You wouldn't need to ask it now..
satish kumar nayak people are leaving christanity and you jumped in it
true
Thanks for the learnin'!
Thankyou Keith for spreading the knowledge... for more info on 5k's and Langar or Golden temple can refer Basics of sikhi videos... making people aware is also a service... Thankyou. ..
I was curious after seeing some of your people. Very interesting. I like your principles.

Thank you so much sir.You described our religion really well. 😊
Tthank you sir. Being a sikh Great Video really appreciate the way you covered it.
As a sikh, I would say , although we don't believe in forcing our views on others,
but it is possible to convert to sikhism . And also we believe in preaching our religion but never forcing . thanks
sarab singh Jasmeet K. Sandhu hello looking for someone in this religion willing to live stream and talk about this religion during my presentation. And answer questions. Also to help me with my presentation.

Me too
I think if u listen some SANT SINGH MASKEEN recordings, that would be best explanation cuz every line he speaks is experiences achieved throughout life and can help u in understanding everything about every myth and truth behind every myth in every religion. But u will need translation.😒
trubeautii070687 I know it’s late, but for future talks I am down.
good job buddy , i'm a sikh and i'd say that your was pretty informative for me as well , u've done a good research !
Guru Nanak = gooroo Naanak (not like nanuck of the north)
sewa =say va
maya= my a
Otherwise really good job
also its Punjab with pun pronounced like the English word.
Yeah after hearing his pronunciation of Nanak I thought the video would be bad but turned to be quite decent.
Jasbir Kaur Villaschi and Kaur
Kaur = Kor
thanks for this amazing explanation. Keep it up
I would love to see videos on some of the smaller religions. Like rasterfarian voodoo etc
And Caodaism
Zen Buddhism
You nailed it sir! Thanks for raising awareness.
This confirms my notion that Sikhs ROCK
Sikhs are 1.7% of Indian population and are 84 in dying for nation.
I'm a 10 year old sikh and even I think you did an amazing job.
I'm Christian, but Sikhism sounds beautiful
This is THE BEST VIDEO on the entire youtube. Its conveyed so respectfully and one can feel THE LOVE by the way you deliver.Thank you so much, gentleman.
As an atheist, If I had to live in a theocracy I'd choose Sikhism now. I can't grow a beard though. Is that going to be a problem?
Paul, bro watch the video again, beard, a turban are attributes of the Khalsa brotherhood. For being a Sikh you study the Guru Granth Sahib, try to understand it, then follow the teachings.
Our tenth GURU (GURU GOBIND SINGH) SAID "A PERSON WITHOUGHT KESH(HAIRS AND BEARD) AND SHASTAR(WEAPONS) IS A SHEEP FOR ME AND I WILL NEVER SHOW HIM MY FACE.

Thats how i got here:)
excellent! thank you
you must have explained more about punjab in the beginning. So guru saab was born in western punjab which is now a part of pakistan.
not necessary . this was about the relegion
diesel2x it’s still a fact because he showed a new map gotta b on point my guy
Thank you for the video. God bless you.
saint soldiers is what they called
Being a Sikh, Great video! really appreciate the way you covered it.
It's pronounced "Punjab" not "Poonjab". Good video though :)
no if we Write PANJAB then he can pronounce correctly as many my white friends pronounce PUNJAB same as him POONJAB but when i write it PANJAB then they pronounce correct..
Excellent video! Thank you so much for sharing this.
There's actually over 50,000,000 followers now and growing real fast🙏
Swedish Meatball population of Sikhs is 15crore
Thank you so much for sharing this information sir
God bless you as well as all 🙏
let his pronounciations slide he actually described the info well.. better than other "sikhs"
"Basic of Sikhi" on youtube is good platform for understanding Sikhism
very nice explanation , i appreciate your work
As a Muslim I'd like to say this is a beautiful religion and we do agree with quite alot of Sikhs principles. Such as the 5 theives, the equality with men and women and racially. And the serving of others to rid us if ego and gain a higher level of spirituality. Thanks for the video. I always wondered about this religion.
Islam teaches equality between men and women?
Good question, Sher.
As a student, these are quite helpful, and I hope anyone who doesn't know much about religion gets the chance to see your videos.
wow I never knew I'm a sikh
Yes because SIKHISSM is not a relegion and anyone can be part of this.
Sisa K anyone is welcome to the Sikh religion.
BLACKSHAYAR 2 dude it’s a religion it clearly says in gurbani and the Guru Gobind Singh ji made the Khalsa every Sikhs goal should be to take Amrit and become a part of the Khalsa panth this has a strict maryada therefore making it a religion.
wow, so beautifully put :-)
Punjab = basically just like the english words of Pun + Jab
Guru Nanak = Gu•rū Nān•ak
Sikh = sick
Guru Granth Sahib = Gr•an•th Sāb•hib (often the “hib” is with dropped completely or the “i” is dropped resulting in a pronunciation of either “Sāb” or “Sābhb”)
Sewa or Seva = Say•vā
Ik Onkar = Ikk Ōn•car
Akal = A•kāl
Singh = like “To Sing”
Kaur = K•oar
Dude, youre the best! Much respect.
I hope everyone can know how many languages are there in Guru Granth Sahib Ji , while finding faults in only minor pronouncing matters
Very well explained brother , thank you for this video
very valuable information in short. he tried to touch all important aspects of Sikhism. Lot of regards for these prescious gems of information.
Respect for you sir...... your knowledge.....
Very informative! A little fast but it is vert useful...thanks for that ^-^
woo.. awesome knowledge.. what a study before making video.👳👳👳👳👳👳👳👳👳👳
Here for school 😔. Other than the fact I have to use my brain, great video and it really helped me with homework!
Concentration is the act of holding onto thought so it can be examined, and thought is the most impermanent of all phenomena.
This explains why every Sikh I ever met is such a great person! Thanks for the lecture!
Sikh means Student or Learner or Disciple i.e Humans would always remain Learners throughout their lives and throughout the existence of humanity. Humans will always aspire to be the Masters but would actually always remain Leaners. This concept is well recognized and acknowledged in modern day Business Management courses.
You could not have explained it better my good man.....Well elaborated
i am amazed by your research. very well done. very accurate. I would like to add one last thought. Sikhs are combination of saint and solder. one who serve and pray and other part that protect the weak.
I really appreciate this in depth explanation. It's feels real good to have humans like u around who understand Sikhism and help other to understand it better when you are surrounded by all those misconceptions about Sikhs.Brother thanks for this informative videoLike ✔Share ✔ (obviously)
