Steven Regal aka William Regal and Fit Finlay execute the best European Uppercuts Learning their trade in Britain and Germany in 70s, 80s and 90s trust me they learnt from the best
I watched wrestling all the time in the 90s but could never understand if the European uppercut was supposed to be the first hitting the other guy or it's supposed to be just the arm/bicep hitting the guy. Is the hit supposed to be an illusion of the fist hitting or what we see with the arm? Also why is it called the European uppercut?
I was going to say. Watching it done on tv, that move doesn't even look real to me. Their fist wasn't even making contact with the opponent's face. I thought maybe the person throwing it was ramming their bicep into the person's jaw. Thanks for the 411. The more you know.

In Regals infamous match with Goldberg , Regal connects with 2 or 3 proper stiff genuine european uppercuts that wake Goldberg up somewhat lol
Yea they did have the best
In a real fight is the European uppercut supposed to be the first hitting or just the arm?

So many times taking a European uppercut and the person would clip my jaw, irritating. Receipts were given back.
