Thank you first responders for saving as many of the animals that you did. Places like this selling animals needs to be stopped because it is putting the lives of the animals in danger.
Why are animals being sold in stores at all????? It's wrong on so many levels. But thank God for all the first responders, firefighters for saving the ones they could.... Anyone who saves an animal, wild or domesticated from such a tragedy, are heros just without a cape....
I readin NYC the law just changed so U can't sell pets in stores......I live in Australia and this law has been in for some time. It then requires you to go to an animal shelter and adopt a pet and it;s stops impulse buys on pets......Pet stores still do very well and they sell everthing but the pets.
@karenmbbaxter I know California banned the practice of dogs and cats being sold in pet stores several years ago. One of the very few things they got right. I believe it's the same in Arizona as well. It helps with puppy mill type scenarios as well, which is where the majority of dogs and cats were gotten from until states started banning it.
A failure of Dallas to regulate animals being kept and sold in such conditions. Absolutely disgusting that so many animals were allowed to be kept in a place like that.
What is happy about this news story? That some animals were saved? Almost 600 other ones died! I guess you are just overlooking that? This should have never happened because that many animals should have never been kept in a place like that.
I don't understand why people sold animals in a store that is why I am always sad if the store burns down what about those animals thank you for saving them
You do know a fire can happen at a shelter too right, not just stores? And some stores do bring animals from shelters, to be adopted out as well. Not every store breeds animals.
@@SugarMollyHazel Quit defending the people who didn't even call to have the animals they were selling rescued. Someone else had to call. You are probably the trashy seller.

Here in PA my husband got a dog from a puppy mill. The owner said this isn't a puppy mill. We got there before her and looked into the house window. WE saw so many different breeds through the window stepping around in pooh. We got the last Black Lab puppy that never saw grass beingkept in a cage. You are heroes and examples to be emulated in the community. 👨🏼🚒💜 As for the municipal government, I have many questions. Why were 600 animals crammed into that store? Where was the municipal code inspector on this? Why are "pet shops" selling any live animals when rescues, animal shelters, and animal fosters are brimming full with all kinds of animals in need of homes? No animals should ever be sold until every waiting, available animal has been adopted to vetted, caring homes. Doing otherwise simply condemns more animals to suffering and death. Why aren't "pet stores" limited to selling supplies and more closely regulated to prevent tragedies like a fire? The store owner and property owner should both be immediately and thoroughly investigated for negligence, failure to abide by fire codes, and anything else they did or did not do to cause this fire.

Let's get them into proper places of adoption where they are not in danger like this anymore.
