Tcgplayer, cardmarket, etc You can use scryfall which has links to different marketplaces. The Kataki, War's Wage is currently a $1.50 card, so maybe when he looked it up it was $80.

I think it's valuable because of the scarcity of the foil not necessarily that the card is good?
