  • Authenticity is a buzzword that is becoming more and more important. With the rise of AI, we as a species, are looking more and more at the “realness” of what we consume, both physically and digitally. Of course, this extends to wine, so let’s explore what “AUTHENTICITY” means in the wine world, and understand how it is that Vero is living it!

    About Vero:
Did you know that less than 1% of wines make it to US retailers' shelves? At Vero, which means “real” in Italian, we are constantly looking for small production, sustainably made, authentic wines from farmer-artisans not yet present in the US market. Our mission is to create a community of wine and food lovers, small producers and businesses where passion is the common denominator.

Couldn’t agree more, as a wine tour operator, my clients love the small, passionate, genuine operators,
    Consistently voted their favourite destinations.

Absolutely, the personal touch small authentic wineries give makes all the difference!

What people want... need, is humanity. In reference to wine, "true" or "authenticity" in my opinion would mean wood barrels rather than chips. As you said, no crazy or, artificial ingredients. No purple coloring, no gelatin.

Very true, humanity is very much a want and need. And yes, agree 1000% in what you were saying about coloring, artificial ingredients etc. It's important to understand where it comes from. :)

I am going to be verynhonest here and say, Dolcetto from Alba probably more authentic than any Barolo that was aged in oak for 734 months in oak😅

We love dolcetto's from Alba! Even Dogliani's are good too. There's a reason all the nonni in the Langhe enjoy Dolcettos every day with their meals: just straight good wine. :)
