Hi Emma ! Another motivational video and a relaxing one too .🤷♀️Can’t understand how any parent wouldn’t want to be close to their child , Minnie Emma is still very young and her allergies sound a worry ( I’d do the same ) . The food bank charity for me .... way too many families struggling at the moment . Hope your having the best time in London . Sending lots of love 🦔💐🦔
Thanks very much. I have to remember that the same people suggested breaking up a peanut and giving her a little piece!! Thanks for casting your vote on the charity 🎉🎉
Hello again Emma, you know I never miss one of your videos. As I was watching you go from room to room cleaning, sorting & decluttering an age-old saying popped into my mind and that was “ A woman’s work is never done”. There are always so many things to take care of: managing the home; caring for husbands & children; organizing our paying jobs outside the home; tending our gardens. I love how you always put your husband and Natasha first ❣️ I have always liked the leggings you had on but I never realized until today that the designs are really Mickey Mouse heads. Haha 🤣 If I had one wish for you it would be for you to be able to have a dryer but I don’t know where on earth you would put it!
Thank you. You're right work is never done, there's always something to do. My daughter's names isn't Natasha though thought I'd let you know that. That's the name of the charity. You are right where would I dryer go. I think if I chose between a dryer and a dish washer I'd actually chose the dishwasher!!
Hi Emma another great video . I had a terrible time with empty nest when my children left for uni but now a few years on I’m enjoying time with my grandchildren so I’m getting to live it all again ❤️ I’m loving it ! My husband is a big Beatles fan and we did the tours in Liverpool . The best one is the National Trust tours of Paul and John’s childhood homes . Well worth visit ! Hope you enjoy London xxxx ps love me some chips and gravy 😂 but I am a Northerner xx
I think it's tough when the children move out, you always know it's going to happen but I'm not sure it prepares you fully. Liverpool tour sounds great. I'd like to go to their homes and then find the roads etc that inspired their writing.
@@sandi6963 isn't it strange that the names are different for so many things, I always know when someone has had an English or American teacher when learning English
I was very involved with both my sons during school years and early years and even now we are involved in both their lives, anytime my 28 year old needs us we are there no questions, I don't care what anyone has to say about that, we don't interfere but we are not indifferent or distanced just because they're adults, now my youngest has Downs Syndrome and is 18 and so he does need us all the time, but we give him as much independence as is safe, there are so many parenting techniques and you have to do what feels right and feels safe, I would never tell someone I think they aren't involved enough, even if I thought as much, so why does being more involved than some feel they need to be, get them judging, ( maybe they feel it highlights a lack of involvement and inadequate themselves in some way ) who knows but their opinion is neither required nor desired, never tell someone else how to parent their child.
I think being available is so important and adapting with different children or different ages. Every child is different. I find it quite frustrating that they vocalise their opinions when they have not lived the same experience. I think I'm opinionated but I keep quiet if I have no knowledge or experience!
I am intrigued by the pineapple fritter and may have to look up a recipe. Here in the states they will deep fry just about anything! A few things I saw at the state fair this year were Oreos, snickers bars and donuts. You have really come a long way with getting tidier and turning your mindset to decluttering. It really is a process. I have had my house mostly clutter free for many years. My mother passed away in June and now I have brought many of her things into my home. I just couldn’t get rid of so many things. I know it will be easier as time passes and everything won’t seem so important. I am giving myself lots of grace and just taking my time finding new homes for everything.
Thanks for this, I feel like I'm bringing less into my house too. As for your Mum's things you need to take time to decide what to keep and where to put things. Your approach to this sounds perfect. Don't rush with these things.
Hi Emma 😊 Bea from Australia here 🇦🇺. Unfortunately my decluttering efforts have come to a grinding halt. I live with several chronic conditions and last week sustained a bad injury to an artery whilst having some standard medical tests, so currently I'm immobile stuck at home with terrible nerve pain down my arm. Even though I'm not body doubling and decluttering alongside you, I find your videos enjoyable and comforting. Love listening to stories about your home town and family. I really hope to be on the mend soon. Hope your sweet daughter is improving too. Bea ❤
In the US, we have the donation metal bins in many parking lots or sides of buildings. I have learned, make sure the bin is actually a charity. There are many that ship the clothes around the world and usually end up as someone else’s problem and not sold for charity. Makes one’s head spin with checking up on things. But I thought I would mention it if someone would like to know.
You are correct and it is so sad that our donations get turned into trash piled in other countries. Sometimes these donation bins also are overflowing, full of stuff that the charity does not want to accept.
@@brookhowell8841 yes! And it is so sad how often even charity places ship donations off. It would be fine…but I have seen where and how it is handled. Nothing like we would dream. I wish we had an online way to post in one spot, everything, in a category. Like a world inventory. So if you wanted to find something, you know where to look! This is impossible, but I can dream 🙈. I am thankful for the ability to sell and give online the way we currently have it.
Do you remember when they used to make the pineapple fritters in a box with a banana fritter, chicken and chips, I think they called them a "Tropicana pack", reminds me of childhood 😄
I had poutine with pulled pork in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, last Saturday. My cousin believed that the area must have been settled by Norwegians, that is where her dad's ancestors came from.
I am craving fish and chips, and pineapple fritters, and while we’re at it, I’m also craving all the cakes and pastries from the British Baking Show! Craving might not be the right word, maybe envious is a better word. I can get fish and chips here in Virginia but it seems like having real ones in England would be so much more delicious. All the Baking Show sweets are so different from what we have here. I promise I watched this whole video, and just the mention of pineapple fritters got me all distracted. Thanks for the extra scenery and Guy Fawkes fire at the end!
This made me smile. You're right our fish and chips are good 😊 Do you have tray bakes there? I found the clip it was from 2016 and I thought you'd like it.
@@gettingtidy2495 I don’t know if we have tray bakes, really. We have one-sheet meals, where you put things like chicken and veggies all on one sheet pan and bake them all together. Is that a tray bake?
Hi Emma, you seem like a wonderful mum. So nice to see someone doing it properly! Frankly her allergies sound terrifying. Could you put shelves for her special Nick nacks above her chest of drawers? You are going great guns atm x
I looked them up Brook. As I'd love to go to Kew and they do light walks at Halloween but we were in the centre of London and they were 1.5 hours on the train from us. It would have taken a whole day to do. Next time! I need to go to Kew as a special trip.😊

I don't pull the sofas out often there's probably dust behind them. I should pull them out and use a damp cloth and then do it regularly. I think the hall storage needs to be quite thin. I got rid of a thin wardrobe which was left in this house when we bought it. I should have repurposed it!
