    There are so many pine tree tutorials on TH-cam, but yours is by far my favourite! You end up with such natural looking pine trees which aren't uniform and gives such a realistic look. Thank you so much for sharing your technique. I will be using this! :)

    You are a great teacher. I've been making pine trees using a similar method, but your instructions will make them much more realistic. Adding flock to the fine turf and shaking it in a container is much cleaner than sprinkling it on and will give a better result. The final touch of trimming the trees with the tweezers afterward gives them a much better appearance. Thank you for sharing your expertise! -Roger from Chicago.

    Really, this has to be one of the best ways to make a small pine trees. You've done a great job, shown nicely in a great video. I do have one slight criticism and that's that if you look at nearly all species of pine tree, most of their branches point upwards, they don't 'hang' downwards. The branches at the bottom, the older ones, might be horizontal, or hang downwards slightly due to their weight, but that's normally it. I've made a few 'indestructible trees' ones that I can jet wash, and vacuum clean to get rid of dust without causing any damage at all, but your use of 'rope' has given me an idea and I will incorporate that into my next tree. Thanks for posting. Subscribed.

    Looks great. But how do you make the tree trunk, when they are taller? I have seen some Videos where they make it with Alufoile, but I don' t like the look.

    • @goodmemoriesproductions
      @goodmemoriesproductions  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello and thank you for your comment. The taller i maked is 8'' and they looking great. My layout and what i make is in HO (1:87). So i don't need bigger than this. If you want it, you can take bigger wire to do it. If you mean a trunk that you can see without branches, i'll probably use a Balsa stick 1/4''x1/4'' and shape it with my hobby knife. After that i always scrape my wood with a metal brush to bring out the grain of the wood. I hope my answer gonna help you. Let's subscribe to know when i'll gonna release my next video. Enjoy!!!

    I love the way your trees come out. I’ve been experimenting with different wire and rope. I got the wire,but I feel the rope is not correct. What type of rope do you use. Thank you

      Thanks for your comment!!! I appreciate it. I can't tell you a specific compagnie. But you can find it in many Hardware store. It's a rope quite rough when you tuch it. I hope it will help you. Enjoy!!!

    Hey man! This looks amazing. Can you please provide precise information about the glue spray you are using and the rope? I tried so many glues already and so many ropes and they look terrible. Many thanks in advance.

      The glue spray i use right now and i prefer is the one from Aleen's tacky spray (Take a look on how to make awesome tree really quickly on my channel). For the rope is tuff to tell. They don't have any compagny name on the package. I'm going with the more rigid look one. Just try to see it on the video the texture.

    Absolutely stunning - easiest method and best looking pines I've found on TH-cam - thanks so much for making this!
    Just starting this process myself - I've cut a rope i bought at hobbycraft that looks similar to yours, however, the strands look very light, floppy and soft (like angel hair for an Xmas tree).
    Yours looks stiffer and more wirey - will that make and difference or will it stiffen with more that I harvest or when they are sprayed?
    Many thanks in advance!

      The important things is to get strands not twisted. Outherwise it will be tuff when you gonna roll the wire with your drill cause you gonna stop so many time to replace the strands. When you gonna put the primer and let it dry, it's gonna be more wirey like you said. ;P

      @@goodmemoriesproductions thank you! Everything going well, really nice shape to the trees and all sprayed brown.
      However, I've come to the spray adhesive and have had a disaster!
      I used Hobbycraft Permanent Adhesive spray and it was a nightmare - came out like a yellowish thick glue with in a horizontal pattern and wasn't a fine mist at all.
      The adhesive stuck to the perimeter of the branches like a spider's web and when shake n it came out as a green clumped disaster! :-(
      I've looked for Krylon Super Grip Adhesive 47777 here in the UK but it is no where to be seen anywhere unfortunately.
      Can you recommend an alternative or the properties of what I need to look for?
      I see there are some sprays that say 'repositional' on them - is that what I need to find?
      There is 3M Spray 77 available here but I'm seeing im people say it is too strong and sticks too fast.
      I'm assuming I need something that dries slower to allow the flock to get around better when shaken?
      Many thanks for your advice in advance!

    • @goodmemoriesproductions
      @goodmemoriesproductions  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I Terminator, you must use a glue spray making a fine spray. The 3M is to much dense. Aleen’s tacky spray is the best I use now. You can find it in any Walmart. You can order it on the site if you don’t have any in UK. Check on my second video where I show how to making trees. You gonna see the spraying glue I talking about. Don’t put to much glue is the key. Otherwise, to much stuff gonna stick on the frame. I hope I answer your question. If you don’t find the glue try some to find the thinner spray you can find. I had buy so much cane before finding the perfect things. Enjoy!!!

      @@goodmemoriesproductions thanks again - really appreciate your reply.
      Aleene's spray is again not available in the UK but I think I might have found a good product:
      3M SprayMount repositionable spray adhesive
      www.amazon.co.uk/SprayMount-Adhesive-Spray-200-Transparent/dp/B000SHR4ZE/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1499950011&sr=8-3&keywords=spray%2Badhesive&th=1&psc=1
      It is repositional for 12 hours before permanent, isn't 'stringy' and the folks on this forum seem to think it is good:
