    I'm in AZ. north Peoria.
Is it OK to prune now?
I have a coconut cream mango that has been in ground about 10 years. I haven't trimmed it. It grows very weepy to the ground. I even strap branches to a structure I have built around it. Branches still curve to the ground. It's loaded with mangoes so I'm not sure if I should trim it now or wait until I harvest.

@ja4luke In Arizona, we have a very short growing season, especially after harvest. I always prune as soon as possible around April 15th.
So starting Alpril 15th as soon as any branch drop flowers or drips fruit, I go ahead and prune it.
For trees that are not holding fruit or I want them to skip, I prune immediately after April 15th.
But this is just my process. This process gives the prune branches maximum time to grow and get mature enough to flower and hold fruit next summer.

How long will you keep it in 15 gallon pot?

I am looking for a spot in the ground to plant it. In case I keep it on the pot, it is good for one year after that it's growth will become restrictive but it can still grow slowly and stay in 15g for another few years.

I have found a space in ground. It is tight space but I do not have a choice, garden is very small. I am digging the hole right now, and I plan to plant it tomorrow. I will post an update video soon. Hoping for it to grow well in ground. I really love Valencia Pride mangoes.

@@TheNaveed787Best all around mango. Fruits every year, tastes great, gorgeous looking, large fruit, my fav. Only draw back is the size. My neighbor has one that grows wild. It's HUGE and gets so much fruit.
