    Did you know that the Mozambique channel is reportedly one of the most hazardous stretch of water in the world! When the fast flowing south flowing Aghulas current meets the winds coming up from the south, the seas stand up high....really high.

      Oh i did TT... That was her first talent that i ever saw!... sitting in the audience having a beer with sparkles in my eyes....

    I used 2 5 gal buckets with holes drilled in bottom in a emergency and it worked great

    Yer I know of a friends partner whose boat got wrecked somewhere around Madagascar in the 1980s.

      Can be a rough channel... Thankfully we have pretty accurate and updateable weather facilities these days..tks for watching David

    Did you notice the giant green turtles under your boat,exactly where you were making the series drogue!

      They may have been hunted out! Or wrong time of year... We didn't see any at Sakatia....

    Did you at least pick up some vanilla beans out extract while there?
    The market for it skyrocketed.

      Yeah mum, Mozambique channel can be... but it was nice enough to us. We had a nice weather window.

      @@SailingLifeonJupiter Hi, how long did it take you or how long does it take to cross the channel? Planning to cross in a Dean Catamaran from Mozambique?

      @@luhellen3988 ah cool... I think we took 6 days to from Baly Bay to Richards Bay... Most boats end up stopping in Mozambique unless you are lucky with your weather window, which we were... Good luck!
