Congratulations! As far as I'm concerned, Polychromos are the perfect pencil. I love mine, even though I rarely use them. They're put up, out sight, and out of harm's way. Long story.

Yes!
However, they're put away because I got tired of other people's sticky fingers. And, people just nonchalantly tossing the pencil case to the side.

Thank you so much my friend! I am obsessed with them already! Now all my alcohol ink pages have a top layer of polys where before I never bothered. it really brings the page up a notch I think.

Aw so happy for you getting the polys what a amazing gift Sarah is a very special person ❤ oh yes the smell is so amazing every time I use mine I smell the case and after a year they still smell wonderful nothing like that smell ❤

Hey love! I somehow missed this video. I was commenting on your most recent video (july 28 2024) and mentioned in my comment that we all feel the love. I said something like " all the love warmth and kindness u feel? we all feel it too. " and then some other stuff but how funny that i said that and then the very next video i watch ( because someone mentioned how you got a new set of polys and i didnt remember seeing you get any and i know they werent talking about your set so i had to have missed a video and i did! But you ended this video asking if we felt the love and yes beautiful... we do. We most definitely do!
Such a great happy mail! Enjoy your polychromos, they are my favourite pencils too! I find that they work really well with layers but also with dark-to-light straight blending. Their quality is the top
They are truly gorgeous aren't they? I am still finding out what all they can do. And opening the box constantly to smell them. :)
If you like them, I suggest the video from Colouring chemist about the open stock pencils to add to the Polychromos to get the most out of them. Her suggestions are really good

Candice, I’m so happy for you ❤🤗🤗🤗🤗. I know how much you love these pencils. I love them, too. They were definitely a learning curve, but once you understand that you have to use light layers, they are so enjoyable. I have used pencils in RJ Hampson’s books, and they work well. I’ve used Prismacolor and Arrtx, but I think polys will work. Can’t wait to see what you color with your beautiful gifts. Love you, friend ❤

I just love watching you get gifts you are so happy and when you did your finished pages you laughed so much it was joyful to watch. Polys are my favorite, you may like the albrecht durers better if you use them to base only and use the polys over as they are the same colors that is what I do when I need to do a base on my page.
Thank you so much!! I think you are right...I don't care for the AD's on top and using dry. They are too smooshy and I have to use too much pressure. But used wet as a base with the polys on top? That might just be the combo I've been looking for! Thank you for this idea!!!
I am so glad someone got you your fave pencils! I love RJ Hampson, just don't love that paper. I have a lot of his books. I use pencil on most pages, so that will work.
I can't believe it! What a tremendous gift. And yes I agree 100 percent about that paper. It's awful! But so many folks have made so many gorgeous pages out of it - it must be do-able!
