"HOWL!! CALCIFER! FIND ME IN THE FUTTUURREeeeeeeeeee!"...... when she said "i'm sorry i can't seem to stop crying." i was also crying and had no idea why. perhaps Sophie loves the soundtrack as much as i do. honestly tho, that part of the movie was breathtaking.
This mobile od not do good as obok. But... MUSIC is magical. It's create the pocture... Mr Hisaishi thank you. Your MUSIC is like the best pain killer for reality!

The way the movie uses hair and hair color as a symbol for both characters and their relationship to their insecurity!!! It's so GOOD.

Simply beautiful, sometimes I will play the opening trumpet solo with my trumpet on a crisp summer morning. Joe Hisaishi proves that music can make a movie, the orchestrated pieces and Miyazaki's animation go hand in hand.
00:52 this part plays when Sophie opens the door to the cave where Howl has hidden himself away and again when she enters the memories of his childhood. To me, it's the sound of Sophie resolving to tell Howl she loves him, and the sound of her resolving to break his curse and save him.
"howwl!! come and find me!! in the futureeee!!!!!" auch a great part
I keep picturing my favorite scene and line...
When Sophie is traveling through the dark emptiness, in between the present and Howl's past, and tears are floating around her and when the dog peers back to look at her, she apologizes saying...
"Sorry but I can't seem to stop crying,"
I love that line because by that part in the movie I was totally tearing up and glued to my t.v. holding my breath

ガンガン吹いてるトランペットより、優しさを秘めたトランペットがすんごく好きでだからこの曲初見で聞いた時感動しすぎて涙出てしまった。
I personally watch a movie 3 times. First time for fun and the story, second time, equally as fun, I pay attention to the music and get hooked, 3rd time I watch the characters really closely and see how they act in the situations they're placed.
Trumpet solos like that almost make me regret switching from playing trumpet to trombone.
my favorite song in the whole world, this right here. it reminds me of Christmas. not that the song itself is Christmas-y, but that warm, wonderful emotion that you feel just touches you. it's so beautiful and sad. i listen to it every day.

The trumpet soloist is amazing. He gets such a sweet sound from that instrament. It is reminecent of a french horn, but it has got it's definite trumpet sound. And when all of them play together! The blend of the insterments. It is beautiful.

This song makes me imagine Howl' s childhood and all the mysterous ornaments in his room, which makes Howl so special and magical. The trumpet also reminds me of the horns of ships in the sea.. the stillness and the seemingly everlasting peacefulness.. but it also has the sadness of the realization that everything is prone to change, that the beautiful memories remains beautiful because it stays forever in our memory...

In the actual song, my favorite part is 3:12-3:44. I can just never get over how haunting and beautiful the violins sound and they nearly bring me to tears every time. Words cannot describe how much I love this song.
From the opening trumpet, I knew this was a worthy performance of Hisaishi's brilliance. Well done

This was always one of my favorite pieces from the movie. I love this.
Having heard a lot of music, it is really hard to say what's the greatest ever... but I don't ever recall watching TH-cam with my hairs standing and falling and the blood cells inside me moving around to the music... nor do I recall verbally muttering "wow" at the sound of music like I did over the last 6.5 minutes.

This song breaks my heart... In a good way. I feel all the emotions that I have been storing up release themselves. Its crazy how music--a collection of sounds-- could do that! To me, that is a crazy idea that only a God could think of.

my body always shivers when i listen to this song... i love it. thanks so much for the upload cause i missed the show.
Howl was a wizard who supposedly captured young women's hearts (as in "fell in love" with them). Sophie is the only girl to ever enter Howl's heart because Howl is courageous about letting his true love (in this case, Sophie) enter his heart. In the part where Howl is shown as a boy, he is seen holding Calcifer in his hand. Sophie sees that Howl's problem was that he had lost his soul, losing the ability to love. Howl then realizes that Sophie would be the one woman he would hold his heart for.
This is the best!! I could listen to forever. They did such a great job too!

This genre of music, if it represents a trend, can bring a new generation of music lovers to the symphony halls. It is nice to see Hisaishi's music making inroads into the symphony in general. It is my hope to interest symphony orchestras in the US to partake in this phenomena and grow their audiences for a stable, secure existence throought the 21st century.
