I am Korean native, and first song is the song named 'Arirang' that our ancestor sing when they have celebrates. I am so thankful to Hal Leonard team for making our Korean traditional music more beautifully with Concert band instruments!
My school has a biannual tradition of hosting Korean exchange students for a week. They come in on Friday after school and on Monday the entire school has an assembly. There are speeches, performances and the works, but the highlight is when the 8th grade band play our National Anthem, The Korean National Anthem, and this. It always makes the Koreans so happy to hear this song. This year I finally have the honour of playing this. It is so beautiful and I love practicing it.
Brodi I don’t play the clarinet anymore tho sadly , I stopped playing in grade 9 cause the teacher wasnt the best . Also high school didn’t have band class :/ But I hella miss it .
I'm clarinet, we 8th graders have to play this when the exchange Korean students com to ACMS and it's really cool because you house Korean students. So at an assembly the 8th graders setup and get ready to play this so the Korean students can hear the beautiful tune

playing @ middle grades advanced band (i’m 6th Grade) as a flute. the part where the flutes and low brass trade the “bum bum bum “ sounds like the low brass keeps interrupting the flutes and higher pitched instruments xD
I am sorry but I played this in High School back in 1980 (xylophone and bells) and this leaves out the entire, fast more complicated middle section for which we won state. It should be included.
Idk when I played this, but I know I did when I had to sight read this in band today. All of us seniors and juniors were having such troubles figuring it out until we figured out that we played it with our old (and better) band director but with a different arrangement.
my bands problem with this song is the fact that our trumpets like to overplay. and i’m a flute (the ONLY one) so when we have parts together since it’s a beautiful song ur supposed to hear me and my band director even told them to not blast AND YOU KNOW WHAT THEY DID THEY BLASTED
