Off topic for this video, I was just wondering if you have done much with interfacing the two apps, PowerDirector and ColorDirector. ColorDirector can be evoked directly from PowerDirector when selecting Edit/Color in PowerDirector. ColorDirector has some nice advanced color and overlay editing features. Then when finishing edits in ColorDirector there is a back button that brings you back to the PowerDirector project with the clip edits from ColorDirector intact. The anomaly that I have encountered is that a clip with any kind of edits in ColorDirector, when imported back into ColorDirector, pretty much kills performance on the PowerDirector side and makes the project a hog in PowerDirector to continue to edit and if you clunk your way through some basic edits in PowerDirector using the ColorDirector modified clip the end result rendering time in PowerDirector untenable.
I ran a simple test with the "edit in Color Director" being the only variable to rendering in Power Director. The render (with LUT applied) just using Power Director was 3min 28sec. The same render time on the same clip with the same LUT applied in Color Director (edit only) and rendered in Power Director turned into 20min 34sec. That's a 700% increase in rendering time while introducing one simple variable.
Do you have any experience with this and if so, what have you done? There is either a settings adjustment to be made or there is something broken in ColorDirector.

What a predicament, I have never come across this. I will try to help, What I am thinking is that colordirector is not closing when you click back and therefore the file is somehow causing this has it is being updated constantly in both programmes. If it has closed then lets look at memory, After using colordirector when you hit back check your pc's memory status, and something you might try is before going into powerdirector open colordirector colour grade your vids and save them with lets say CG as a name ending. Close colordirector restart your pc and now go to powerdirector and do your final stuff with the files with the CG ending and see it that helps. I myself never did a lot of colour grading when I used my laptop bcause the graphics chip is laughable, so I purchased a desktop pc has I new laptop couldn't handle some larger files. So here is my question are you on a laptop or desktop? Check first memory under 16, increase memory also had SSD hard drives. Now the graphics card, say no to any intel graphics they cannot handle colour grading vids very well,. Hope my insights are helpfull to you.

The PC is a Lenovo laptop running the AMD Ryzen 7 CPU (8 core, 16 threads) with 32gb of resident (permanent) RAM. The AMD has on-board graphics and the hard drive is indeed an SSD. It's not on the hardware side. I thought I would show you something that you have possibly seen before and figured out how to adjust to it or stay away from. All of my Cyberlink stuff is current and I like the ColorDirector features and capabilities while Cyberlink has obviously and purposely interfaced the two platforms such that they are supposed to be able to work together but unfortunately they don't out of the box. I have not tried Cyberlink support yet. I thought I would try you guys first. I talked to (Sharper Turtle) Jim and he ran the same tests and was equally perplexed. You two guys are the most advanced Cyberlink guys I know of.

Hardware setup is off the table. So its definatly sorftware, I have lots of LUTs as well.
So lets start there, have you added the LUTs to colordirector? Or are they seperate from the programme. Here is my setup, add the LUTs to colordirector via the interface and add the one you are using to favourites, this is how I have them. then do another test. As soon as I get home I will check something and get back to you this evening.

I am only working with one LUT at the present time and it is loaded into Power and Color. The same LUT at 3:28 just in PD and the same LUT loaded in CD and transitioned over to PD is 20:22. A 700% increase in render time with only one variable. The LUT I loaded in to both platforms is the DJI rec.709 specifically for their drone footage. The other item....anything added (and kind of overlay) in CD and then transitioned to PD causes essentially the same results. I like CD and I just paid the annual subscription. If I had known how it was going to slow the works up, I probably would not have committed to an annual subscription. I would like to use it and that's why I have reached out to you guys. Jim said he was going to do some more testing. It would be nice to find the bug or the setting.
I have also been wrestling with the standard that Cyberlink is using (Smart Video Rendering Technology) SVRT. I have not been able to turn it on, on demand but at times have it show up on the timeline as a red bar going across the same duration as the video clip(s). When I look at it in the Help section, Cyberlink totally loses me with the explanation of SVRT. There are multiple parameters listed that have to be met for SVRT to function. It acts like my DJI drone footage is seen as having a variable frame rate or maybe still images edited together with video into the timeline. In any case I canot get a handle on the way Cyberlink has programmed SVRT.

Dont use SVRT it is only for camcorders as far as I know and it messes with the bitstreams of H.264. Remove the LUT from PD do a restart and re-edit only with CD and see if that is the problem. Also is your video from the drone a timelapse or hyperlapse video as they are basically a series of photos and one of the programmes maybe misunderstanding. So here is the thing if its timelapse produce your vid without any colourgrading bring it back into PD and CD colour gade that one does that improve it? Are you producing with H.265 or H.264? I had strange file sizes with H.264. Make sure your project is the same fps as the footage, this causes all kinds of problems with PD.

But TH-cam does some funny things.
I had a guy in Canada he was able to open it and a guy I know in Taiwan he was able to open it so I'm confused.
But I sent it to their email perhaps that's why you're not getting it because TH-cam won't allow it to be attached to your comments I don't know what do you think

It is okay Harvey maybe one day I will make it public it had a lot of copyrighted music in there so I figured if I made it unlisted it wouldn't be so bad but TH-cam still scolded me.
