#NHL
I was at this game and the atmosphere was electric. I've never heard "Rock you like a Hurricane" played by a marching band before, but now that I have...
What section were you in? I was in 125!!!
@@rcktman0127 I can't remember.
Same but with band playing the NHL Theme Song from ESPN
@@rcktman0127 sec 2 and was filled with caps fans
@@rcktman0127I was in section 15 about halfway up. It was awesome!
Power sound of the south did an awesome job at the game tonight…just as good of a performance as the Hurricanes themselves! Great night for hockey in Raleigh!
Need that rendition of Rock You Like A Hurricane as my ringtone!
I don't I wouldn't pick up my phone
@@chanceschenk5960 I can certainly understand why you wouldn't pick up, I wouldn't want the vibe to stop to hear a telemarketer either!
😆 😂
As a member of the band that performed that song, you have no idea how much that means to us. Go Canes!
@@willcowan8487 so glad y’all got the recognition you deserve! Imagine having y’all back for the playoffs…
I think that the band was really great. Excellent song choice and it looks like it was so much fun to be there!
It was a blast. The canes normally skate out to rock you like a hurricane but the power sound of the south rendition is just so fitting for the football stadium atmosphere
That intro freaking ruled!
I never knew I needed a marching band rendition of Rock You Like A Hurricane until I saw this
It was so loud in the student section I could barely hear the band 😅 giving me literal chills watching this back tho
Insane night never will forget it
WHAT A AWESOME 65TH BIRTHDAY THANK YOU TO MY SON TO THE HOCKEY GODS WHAT A DAY
Oh wow, I hadn't seen anything from this before. Those Canes uniforms look DAMN GOOD!
Who said marching bands have to take a break after football season ends!?
Hurricanes making the Carolina Panthers look like a crap franchise. Glad we have a professional team in the state that actually is good.
@@sillygoose635 yeah at least the Panthers look to have a sense of direction and stability rn, the Hornets however…
@@sportstrap4285how about now? 😭😭😭
@@penguindewlol good point
The Canes play in Raleigh… I guess Charlotte has it rough.
@@PoipoleMujigaeAs someone who goes to college in Charlotte, Raleigh clears by a landslide
Прямо захотелось туда переместиться в эту атмосферу! Классно. вот это праздник хоккея!
Possibly the dopest thing ever
The goalie helmet cam may have been a gimmick but that was pretty cool
*would be really cool if such a cam would be used in the live game!*
_when the puck flies towards the goalie and at some point you only see a big black something_ :)
@@Z0RDR4CK I've seen a vid from a goalie with a GoPro on his helmet (higher end amateur adult leaguer or maybe low level minor leaguer at practice? Can't remember) facing snap shots from inside the circles and blue line slappers... was a good demo for why despite playing goalkeeper in soccer I never tried goaltender in hockey 😅😅
Best fans in The National. I love southern teams, both Nashville and Carolina fans are amazing.
I've been to both the Canes arena (including 2002 Cup Final run) and Carter-Finley Stadium for NCSU football games (Philip Rivers QB era) years ago when I lived in Raleigh, and both were always tremendous experiences. Combining the two would have been amazing, wish I could have been there.
Carolina has some pimpin uni's
Wolfpack and Hurricane fans give it up for the POWER SOUND OF THE SOUTH
Whoever chose this song for them should be protected at all costs cuz they're absolute legends
I can proudly say I was at that game! 😊
as a piccolo player hearing this makes my lips hurt
Let’s go canes!! And look at all those fans
0:08 is when the music starts
Best set up for an NHL outdoor game
Amazing
Is Raleigh a hockey market now? Asking for a friend since all y’all were insistent on them leaving for many many years.
Who is yall?
Yes it is
For the last 4 years they have been
They really raleighed for the cause
Raleigh’s been a hockey market for a good bit now, devoted fans stuck it out for the 10 years we missed the playoffs and now that we’re good it’s huge
Ngl these jerseys are starting to grow on me lol
This game had the feel of Alabama vs Vanderbilt
GO DORES
I was there to go state
EA sports NHL game are you paying attention?
i kinda like it
Scorps
But I thought people in the south don’t care about hockey
HERE COME ZERURIKANE
You were just lucky because OVI didn’t play. I he did it would have been different
Alex Ovechkin is getting up there in age, y’know..
if one player is the only reason your team can be competitive, then your team sucks
Charlotte vs Washington lol ..
The Hurricanes play in Raleigh.
Its the “Beat By NYR Bowl” live on ESPN 🗽🗽🗽🗽
We won the cup more recently than you have and we’re louder than you.
Also, maybe the next one should be in Durham or Chapel Hill. Show some love around The Triangle.
Sure would be happy to paint Kenan red more than just once every 2 years!
Why would they do that when they play in Raleigh lol no reason too
My thinking if they were to do it again would be the DBAP…TV would love a hockey game at the home of the franchise that filmed the Bull Durham movie. Kevin Costner either dropping the puck or sounding the siren. Problem is the DBAP is less than half the capacity of Carter-Finley so there wouldn’t be a ton of room for fans.
@@ThatEflatGuy Ever since the Durham Bulls unveiled the awesome hockey jersey they made back in 21, I've been hoping to see that happen. A Canes jersey in Bulls colors would be sick and the Canes need to have a Durham Bulls night. Durham has hosted like 4-5 hockey nights now and the Canes have never reciprocated. That'd be a really cool gesture
Baltimore would be nice. Just biased as a DMV liver tho
Not thank you
Not a fan of logos on their helmets. It works in football but this just looks wrong. 🤷🏻♂️
I really wish they didn’t use a college band or band at all just gives the rest of the league more firepower about how we play in a college arena which we don’t a mediocre college basketball team plays in an arena that’s way too large for them the hurricanes don’t want or claim NC State
Go pound sand. Hurricanes have great support from NC State students and alumni, and NC State's hockey team dominates the other area colleges (Chapel Hill, Duke, etc). When I was there, there were collaborations between the club and the university (e.g. a Triangle-area college hockey tournament on the Canes' ice, NCSU hockey team running Fan Fest games and rides for the kids during tailgating for the Playoff games, etc). The Canes frequently have former NC State football and basketball personalities come to crank the warning siren before games. You sound like a Tarheel.
@@jsquared1013 lol what? Go pound sand? Stfu and fuck NC State to the NC State fans watching the canes it’s the entire state of NC cheering for the canes if you’re all for NC State being the only school running things for the hurricanes you can suck mad dick the only thing NC State is known for is unfortunately sharing an arena with a pro sports team that holds maybe half the NC State fans no one wants you and you guys will continue to accomplish nothing
NC State loves the Canes and vice versa. Sorry poverty town Crapel Hill can’t compete.
Was there but been to a few stadium series before this was ok to much of a college feel for me. Energy was big for NC but sub par to when this series was up north. NC did good for NC but still felt this series was lacking Big fan Energy. And just loudness
"Too much of a college feel" 🙄 when it's in a college town and the epicenter of some of the greatest college sports rivalries in the country (UNC Chapel Hill "Tarheels", Duke "Blue Devils", NC State "Wolfpack", and Wake Forest "Demon Deacons" are all within about an hour of each other; also all schools with excellent academic programs in addition to their sports programs). The rest of your comment is provably false nonsense by a northern snob (PNC/Lenovo Arena regularly sets noise dB records during Hurricanes playoff runs)
