To change distance unit you should know basics of ultrasonic sensor
1- ultrasonic sensor sends signal from one eye and receive from another
2:- we know that speed = distance ÷ time
Distance=time × speed
Sensor uses speed of sound to calculate distance therefore
Distance=time×speed of sound /2
Here divided by 2 is used because sound waves first goes hits and come back so divide this by 2
In video he used speed of sound as 0.0340 so he can get seconds if you want even more smaller unit then use more zeros after decimal in code
