Klopps not going anywhere any time soon think how fitting it would be for Gerrard to win his first ever league winners medal 🏅 with a club which was nothing short of embarrassing due to past controversys etc he will always be remembered for his time at Rangers probs the hardest job to take on out of all these newbie managers we see due to the fact that he doesn't have the luxurys the others have of being able to spend serious amounts of money on 1 player all his signings have been hand picked and are working a treat and he's only in the job 2 n a half years absolute magic

If Scottish football really wants to be "put on the map", it should pursue the idea of merging with the Premier League. Not to suggest that would ever really happen (and granted Celtic and Rangers might be the only teams in it).

The attraction to Scottish football is the Old Firm and the support. It's about taking part in that battle.
It would be easy for Gerrard to manage a bankrolled Championship side with dosh for twice the signings. But he'd be at Birmingham in the Championship.

Don't know what big Sutton is talking about, BR said weeks ago he is not standing still keep on building, that spend had nothing to do with SG it was stated well before he was even thought of. The real Q? is, in this season that is just about to come to an end, the Ibrox club had to borrow 3.5m from directors Alister Johnston dropped £1m too to cover running costs and they still have to go to CB for another 3m Secured Loan. That means, the Income from 43K ST supposed sellouts of MDTs and all other income (bar kit deal ? 2m ps) 30m is not enough to cover the running costs for season 2017 - 2018. Now again, where are they going to get the EXTRA Income from to cover what will be even Higher running costs under SG.

Rangers are hoping that Gerrard can attract some loan players because bottomline there is no money to spend. And to be fair it would work well for a lot of those Liverpool youngsters to come upto Rangers and play Mens football knowing that Gerrard isn't going to ruin Liverpool owned players.. Could work well. However this does show where Scottish football is at the moment. It looks like its being used as an Academy for the Premier League for prospective Managers and players. Make no mistake this is a learning move for Gerrard before he wants to do the real thing basically.

Sutton is a smart and rather articulate, bloke. Nevertheless, people like Sutton who are essentially saying Gerrard's move to Rangers is a bad decision/impossible job, don't understand Gerrard at all. The bloke is innately competitive and driven. The more he's been told Rangers is a bad idea the more he's gone, "I'm totally up for it." He was like it as a player. One thing is for sure, he won't give up. I think what he needs to do initially is firmly cement Rangers as the number two side in the SPL, since their return Rangers have been the third or fourth best. He'll need some time do this, then with some cups under his belt in his third or fourth term as manager mount a decent challenge.
