Thank you, had the same issue yesterday. Added some washer fluid first beacause I had suspicions they were no more fluid. Your videos helped me figuring out the nozzle has completely obstructed and durty. Thanks 🙏🏼
Thanks Larry, Audi quoted £220 as an additional cost to my service to investigate why the washer fluid was not spraying onto my rear screen. 10 minutes and I'd unblocked the clogged nozzles with a safety pin. Thanks so much!
Just used your advice and fixed my A6 C7 2014 Allroad. Haven't had fluid on the glass for months. I took off the nozzle and tried the pump and the fluid jet hit my garage door!!! A pin was ideal to unclog the jets. Thanks for the tip!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you SO MUCH for going to the trouble of posting this very helpful solution. Saved me a trip to the dealer! Took 5 minutes. Very generous of you to help others.
This video saved me what , I’m sure, would have been a load of cash at the stealership. Turns out my nozzle popped off when I snapped the cover out, just as your did. Could NOT figure out why my washer had stopped working properly. Quick check of the garage floor, and I was able to locate this tiny piece. Back in and good as new! THANK YOU! 2016 Touareg Exec
Thank you dude, just bought an Audi a4 avant 2017 and noticed that there was no washer fluid coming out the rear. Clogged up with dirt so gave them a good blast out, put the nozzle back in and it worked. P.S before you put back the nozzle once cleaned, make sure you blast the other crap out from the housing. You’ll know when it’s ok when you see washer fluid flying out from your rear view 😂 👍🏼
Thank you very much. I did as you suggested and cleaned it with a piece of wire and then shot a couple of squirts of carb cleaner through it just to be sure, pointing the exit ports away from my face and eyes. Much appreciated
Important note, after you've unblocked the nozzle and before you put it back on, run the back washers for like 5 seconds. That will clear all of the dirt and muck that clogged it up. It should be running clear after 5 seconds. If not, keep it running until it does.
Hi do you have a suggestion what to do when it’s not the nozzle clogged (I have fixed it like this in the past with this same nozzle problem). Now I hear the sound of the motor, but no liquid is coming out even with the cap and nozzle off. Thanks if you get to this-J
I dissolved the calcium buildup by soaking the sprayer in vinegar for 10 mins. I also ran the washer for 5 secs without the spray nozzle in to confirm the pump and tubing was fine. 5N MY12 Tiguan
Tank you man, I just bought Audi A3/S3 1.6 tdi and one of the issue was that, the water spray of the rear wiper doesn't work. Tomorrow I will try to fix it.
@LarryFopps yeh... I'm still trying to find video of the location of the tubes. I have the audi diagrams (mechanics diags) but it's slightly challenging for my electrician brain lol
Great video just one question. Is the nozzle supposed to lay easy on there. When i bought a new one and installed it i could not get it to click on properly is it supposed to be like that?
Brill, thanks for this. When I had the nozzle off I gave the motor a good few seconds, managed to soak the wife at the same time, take that as a tip or a warning depending on your mood (and hers) at the time😂😂😂
Thank you so much! This is the second time this happened and I didn’t think to TH-cam it - I got charged $185 to fix it so this time I can save that money and do it myself! The link only goes up to a 16 Q5 - I have an 18 Q5 will that work? Should I just call the dealer?
Glad this will help. I can't say for sure, but this same design has been used since the early 2000's so i'm sure its the same situation. before buying any part, just pop the cover off and try clearing the nozzle. You likely don't need a new part at all. And the entire intention of making this video was to save people from dealing with the dealer.
@@LarryFopps actually my meighbour saved the day, thank you however, i went to a parts store and they sell it only with the motor itself. For everyone else, i cleaned it using a needle, water and blowing, took me 2 hours, i was even soaking it in different kind of detergents. But hey it was worth it.
@@LarryFopps Yep, did not find the right wqy to do it, tried it a few times and it didnt work, than i put the 2 nozzels in my mouth and blew as hard as i could, couldnt believe how much of the gunk came out. Than a little bit of washing, needle next, wash, try and it worked

Thanks for this, had this issue a few years ago with my A4. Back in Audi ownership and developed the same issue, thanks for the reminder!
amazing - this video deserves to have much more views
Just worked for me on my Q5, thank you, great tip!
2015 A4 - Perfect job thanks - used a pin to unclog the holes

You saved my life , and a trip to the dealer , keep up the good work buddy, this works on all Audis with rear wiper 👏👏
Gawd bless yer, guvnor - that had been bugging me for weeks and you've helped me sort it
Thx. Fixed our 2018 Q7. I reccomend using air or pressurized fluid to clear this out so you don't risk deformity the nozzle holes.

Honestly this was so helpful! Thank you so much
I have to repeat this exercise every 2-3 months with mt Q5, never had this problem in any previous cars

This is exactly the same on a Cupra or Seat Leon. Thanks for the video.

Thanx mate, you saved me time and money. 👊🙏
Worked pretty well. I used air duster.
Thank you! I’d no idea how to fix it, but it is now
Just saved me a trip to Audi - cheers mate
Genuinely thank you! God bless you
I want to re-iterate the thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you!
Audi wanted to charge me 326.00$ ! Glad I looked this up first
Thank you, you Made it Easy for me to fix!
I am still looking for the front tube assembly location and access points. When my rear runs, I hear it spraying under the hood somewhere
You will hear it under the hood. The pump is in the reservoir

Thanks for the great info. Solved my problem, Bravo !

It kind of just slides easily over the nub. It doesn't click on
So helpful, thank you!

@@LarryFopps allways. Its Nice that some actually showed how to do it, and not just talk nonsense
Thank you!
Mine is not coming off
someone maybe glued it on, pull harder, it will come off.
