Hello. I have a question to ask you.
I apologise if I am not a technician or a programmer, it is likely that my question sounds absurd; if so, I would be grateful if you could explain to me the "why" and possible solutions (in case they might ever exist according to you). OK let's get started!
The subject is obviously websites and web3. I am aware that it is currently only possible to create blog sites or simple pages due to the difficulty of storing data in IPFS. At the same time I am aware that IPFS is a storage system and does not have the content processing functionality of a web server. So far I have understood. My question is: in the future (or soon), will it be possible to create more advanced but decentralised websites? For example, will it be possible to create a platform for booking services (transport tickets, travel bookings, etc.) and associate it with a web domain3 ? and if it were/could be created in the present, what would be the actions to be carried out ?

Hi Beyer, this is what even I'm trying to do. We can't upload a folder. But we can upload .car file which serves your purpose. I created my own .car with collection of CIDs and tried to upload to NFT.storage. But, it failed to recognise my CIDs inside .car. The .car convertible user interface provided by NFT.storage doesn't allow to upload large files under one .car. When I contacted them they said I need to upload in chunks. That is 100 chunks/10000 NFTs in my case. It means 100 times of deployment. What would be the cost of 100 deployments? So, that's useless.
Everyone speaking about Pinata. It costs 0.15$/1GB/month which is again very costly if the NFTs not getting sold the same month.
If you found out any way please let me know.

@@MrYanissab , yes. Now they have a tool in nft storage. Its works similar to Pinata, provided free as on date. Maybe tomorrow it may because paid service.

This is only said by people who have never tried to work with IPFS seriously. IPFS is slow, unreliable and very static. You can forget about streaming audio-video. The whole network works only theoretically, but is practically useless except for some tiny kb sized files ... complete junk

@@EatTheBlocks IPFS or any other really working decentralized filestorage system for the Internet would be a blessing. IPFS is promising, but the IPFS people should also only promote what actually works and not promise things that don't work at all, that creates anything but trust. User experience is the best marketing
