Thank you for the helpful walk around tour. I just bought one and have been assessing it for any needed adjustments/repairs. Your video helped me identify at least one issue my mower has that I will need to investigate/repair.
It was hard for me to find a mower/conditioner that my 60 hp tractor could handle. I was surprised this one only requires 30 hp. Most 9' models these days require 65 hp.

I found this on about 2 hours from home. I was clueless having had the same new Holland for 25 years and new idea before that. I figured if it wasn't readily available on TH-cam with details I wanted to see then I should make it .

@@thewayidoit8895 I'm beginning to do maintenance on the 1120 I purchased at an auction. I found that the tensioner spring is missing from the right side of the mower. How important is it that it be intact and operational for the mower to work?

@@brucemccolley5887 If you are talking about the Spring on the tensioner for the reel drive, by all means you need it. In heavier hay it will not feed it to the rollers. If you are taling about the large spring by the ture I think that is twofold. It helps suspend the head in case of hitting dirt mounds/ uneven ground. I think it is also a link to locate the head.
Honestly, you might get away without it but you certainly do want it in place.

@@thewayidoit8895 The spring tensioner is mounted side-to-side along the ceiling. I’m not sure what it may do.

@@brucemccolley5887 I believe that provides tension on the crimp rollers to crush the hay to allow for quicker drying. See 2:22 in the video. Probably important but it may cut hay without it.

Solid old machine. I run a 1090 with is similar.
Watch the gearbox mounts for cracking, and make sure that hitch lock pin isn’t worn to where it doesn’t lock up correctly.
    Good luck

Somebody changed the shoes so it leaves the hay stubble long. Other than that I love it!

Please I want a video explaining how the knot works for the New Holland straw baler

Sorry just saw this. New holland had a very old film somewhere but it disappeared. The best way to fix a knotting problem is not to look for a problem but to make sure the whole system is correct. New twine, good eyes on the needles etc. Get EVERYTHING right and it will likely work.
