Ricky P has won 20+ games in all but one season at U of L. His first season he won 19 games. We've been to the tournament every year except for one this last decade. UL > UK in the 2000's thus far.

Duke vs Carolina has nothing on this rivalry. The amount of hate and utter disdain the programs have for each other is off the charts. The whole state shuts down when this game is played. We play 1 time for all the bragging rights, not 2 times like UNC vs Duke. That makes that one game much more intense. Williams and K like each other. Cal and Pitino absolutely hate each other and want nothing more than to beat each other. This rivalry is by far more intense and I dont think it is close. >

@collegefootballfan44 Yeah, and apparently he's forgotten all the seasons of Gardiner Webb's and VCU's at uky...and doesn't realize that we've already played 4-5 teams that will likely win their conferences and get into the NCAA tournament.

Well, in every year Calipari has been here, he's only lost 13 games total. And every year he's been here, we've been in the tournament. Kentucky is all out better in every way.

@jokertoker5593 If we are talking about the 2000-2010 decade, yes Louisville was better in the long run, except for 2009. But if Kentucky stays at the rate they're at, Louisville won't really stand a chance, unless they got some pretty amazing recruits. But, right now, Kentucky is in the spotlight, and I'm glad we finally are again, I missed being a fan of the best basketball team in the country, I haven't been able to say that since 1998.
@jokertoker5593 We haven't sucked for the past decade, if I do recall, we went undefeated in the SEC in 2002-03 year. Yet you guys haven't even managed a title in over 30 years. We were good this decade before Calipari. And we'll be good after. The history between Kentucky and Louisville is 27-14, Kentucky was never scared to play Louisville, and never will. And all the Louisville fans I know think they're gonna win every game they play. But, that's just the ones I know.

@BigIWhitty Last time Louisville was cocky, they lost to Georgetown, Kentucky, Notre Dame, Providence, Marquette, and Syracuse. Louisville fans have always been cocky, when in reality, they can't play for shit.

@DEnumber73 I agree. I hate U of L and cant wait to see how they handle a pumped up Kentucky team and a HOSTILE Rupp Arena. We are better at every posistion, more physical, better athletes, and we played better competition. And if Louisville tries to press this game could get ugly for them. Our length is what makes UK so good. Our D is sick this year and our offense is pretty good to. I wish U of L would have beat Georgetown though

@jokertoker5593 Yes, you did all that, but you still managed to lose it all anyway. You guys have 8 Final Fours and we have 14. Just because Kentucky had a rough time before Cal doesn't mean Louisville is better. Every team has rough patches, and Kentucky's ended about 3 years ago.

@SplitEndz86 And I'm pretty sure Kansas and UNC will be in the tournament too. Doing the whole conference comparison thing is just an excuse. Funny how you brag about Ohio, Memphis, and Long Beach State yet you say Kentucky plays in a weak conference. Those teams don't?

@jokertoker5593 Past two years? We've been one of the best college basketball programs since the fifties. And Louisville can't play good, not this year. I mean, you get one of Kentucky's best coaches as your coach, and you still manage to be bad? And Louisville fans are always cocky, and so is the team, so get over it and deal with always being the little brother to Kentucky.

Look back at us the past decade, we've been better than Louisville, you need to realize that. You guys have one of our best coaches and you still manage yo lose all the time!!

@Adam McGovern: Last year UK basketball and baseball was ranked bumper 1 and UK woman's basketball was a top 10 team. The rifle team won the 2011 NCAA title and was runner up this year.. Kentucky is good at other things besides men's basketball.

It's only a rivalry because the 2 teams are in the same state. Kentucky has more than twice as many wins against Loserville head-to-head (32-15). Pretty one-sided.
