That last one seriously brought a tear to my eye. The sheer odds! Two great grabs by the kid! And that call from the announcer - "Beer, baby and baseball" - what a game!
@searchingfornessie8410 Right. Same odds as a lady getting hit by 2 balls from the same pitcher and batter. one KOd her and the second as they were carrying her out. from the 1950s.
1:53 that kid and his bro are going to argue about this for the rest of their lives. "I saved you. You owe me your soul." "I've been telling you for 40 years, I was tracking that ball right up until you threw your glove in front of my eyes." "Nah you owe me."

I love the fact that when the kids get the ball (everyone really) all the fans are cheering and the people who almost got it are cheering as well and high fiving!
@jarodmorris4408 What is this assumption? If that was my kid and my wife, did that I'd certainly be angry. That's an incredibly high risk of dropping the kid
What I truly love about moments like these is that these may be the moments that cement a love of a sport in a young fan's heart. A kid who liked baseball might change their whole focus after a great catch like some of these.
3:37 That guy made a excellent catch. The response? Guy comes over, impressed as all-get-out, applause all around, and best of all, probably got a big ol' kiss on the lips from his SO. Wholesome as heck. That's Baseball.
When I was a kid I was at a Phillies game in old veteran stadium and it was mostly empty but there was a high pop up that looked like it was going to nail this guy that was walking with both hands full of food on the catwalk between 2 sets of bleachers. Everyone was holding their breath thinking this guy was going to get hit in the head and drinks and food where going to go everywhere. Instead the guy puts all his food down and catches the ball in his hat. The small crowd cheered louder for that than they did for the whole game.
I'm British and have zero interest in or knowledge of baseball. But... I could watch these all day. 😂 I said to myself on the last one, great, once in a lifetime memory, then he catches another! 😂 Brilliant
1:52 well on one hand, he saved him from taking one in the face, but on the other, the guy might have been able to catch the ball on his own if he could actually see lol
1:50 Kid is blocking the view of the other kid trying to make his catch. He was lining up and then black glove in front of his eyes. Worst than pocket sand.
In July 2017, I was with my camp at a Scranton Wilkes-Barre Railriders game and I caught a foul ball cleanly off a ricochet with my glove. Everyone went absolutely nuts at my catch. I was at the back of the section my camp was sitting in so everyone had a great view of me making the catch. I made sure not to lose the ball even all these years later. Whenever I play catch with someone, I always use a professional baseball. I have a few other ones.
If you ever think you're decent at catching fly balls, just remember there are middle age dads beer in hand bare handing 97mph foul balls unexpectedly and not being paid a dime to do it.
Some of these are more impressive than the players catches. No gloves, holding a beer, holding ur baby, minimal spillage. That take some special skills.
Those first two plays, both on the Southside of Chicago, drive home a sad fact about the White Sox that, ironically, is best described with a quote from "Rookie of the Year", a movie about the crosstown rival Cubs. "I just realized why they lose every year: They've got more talent in the stands than they do on the field."
the kid at 5:54 diving down a row of seats to make the catch might be the best of all time

props to the dude that helped catch the kid so he didn't get hurt

there is one where a guy catches 3 in one inning :O he moved a few more seats tho than this kid!
that last catch by the kid was truly remarkable. Catching two foul balls within a matter of minutes.
From the same batter too. Man time flies, that kid ain't a kid today realizing that's Josh Hamilton so this was likely late 2000s early 2010s.

Such a unique aspect about baseball. Loved the announcers calls of these
how can you say its unique when the exact same thing happens at cricket matches
@@bobbygee1771because cricket balls don't move as fast as baseballs. Also cricket is awful

Sounds like an ideal night to me
I’m fully convinced that if you catch a ball in your beer cup, you have to chug it. Even if it spills all over you it’s the right thing to do.
For sure
I feel like it’s just an unspoken rule at games

Never underestimate a dad with a beer in his hand and a baby in a joey pouch.
If you fielded a team of players who were all dads wirh beers in one hand and a baby strapped to their chest it would be unstoppable
A left handed back hand catch whilst not spilling your beer is definitely a lifetime goal 👌
I'll admit it. There is an actual feel-good moment involving Machado now. Never thought I'd see the day.
