Hello, I watched several you tube videos replacing inner tie rods , the claw washers have to bent on the inner tie rods to prevent it from loosening and coming out from rack and pinion shaft. Some suggested to apply thread locker.I just replaced 2012 honda crv inner tie rods .Is it a safety concern.
I did inner and outer tie rods one side came off with 15 revolutions and the other side came off with 19 revolutions and my steering wheel is a bit shifted to the right. Could that be the reason why my steering wheel is a little off? This was after I took it to a certified shop for a wheel alignment. It drives straight but my steering wheel is bothering me.
it is normal for tie rods not to have same amount of turns on both sides but probably the wheel alignment was not done right, those machines are not accurate also, if a manual wheel alignment is done right, then the steering wheel will be straight
Hello! I watched your Tutorial couple of time and noticed you didn't put claw washer. In my case I have 2011 Toyota Sienna XLE. The part replacement part came with Claw washer but on Rack Pinion I do not have tabs. This is strange to me. What should I do ?Please help. Thanks.
some dont have either pin or claw washers you just leave it like that, in my case it did not have a pin and claw washer either, some vehicles will not have them, thanks for taking the time on the channel.
2 zip ties would be even better so it is great idea but there is no space for 2 zip ties there, the space is very limited only for one, but it is a great idea, thanks for sharing it is very appreciated.
Thmx so much for this video my friend. I have the same problem on my toyota avensis but I am sure it is inner tie rod as it has too such play in it
