ABOUT…
I am Rebecca and I am one heck of a passionate vocal coach/singer/songwriter/impressionist/health/fitness/self- improvement/anything that makes me smile!! I love anything vocal/singing related and geek out on it every day. I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well maybe but it’s true. So what’s motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2017 and my ovaries and fallopian tubes. The tumour was the size of a 20 week baby!! However, despite not being able to walk for a couple of weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn’t an easy time but I won’t let fear dictate my life. I didn’t think ‘why me’, there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it’s not always smooth sailing. It’s true when you hear, ‘Life is short’, the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and practice gratitude everyday…It’s so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…?

The point she is making is that he isn't singing in a Scottish accent so he should be pronouncing the words correctly. It was only a nuance she was observing. You accept the Arctic monkeys local nuances because they don't hide it in the singing.

I'm glad he is finally getting the recognition he deserves, he is now currently celebrating his 6th week as number 1 in the official UK charts. I remember seeing him live 2 years ago in a small bar in Manchester with just 20 people and I had a chat with him after the gig and was saying that one day he would make it and now he has. I feel like a proud father 😂🙈

That is because you form the words and most importantly the vowels differently while singing in order to make it sound good. Very interesting when you want to become a good singer. Just little changes in pronunciation make a big difference in sound.

Lewis’s Scottish tone and accent is part of his unique style. He doesn’t need to conform or be pigeonholed into a uniformed sound. He’s just Lewis isn’t he? And he’s amazing!!
His scottish accent is super and only adds to make his vocals even better than they already are,simlar to cerys matthews from catatonia a strong welsh accent both sound so much better than all the sound a like singers out there today they all sound the same,imitating each other no individuality

I had the pleasure of seeing him as opening act for Bastille in March. He's such a funny guy and so down to earth. Of course then there's the singing... this guy blew me away. I'm so happy he's finally getting the recognition he deserves!

when i first heard the original version of this song and watched the music video of the man whos wife donated her heart. man i cried, i weeped like a baby man, and not just bcoz the video was sad, but his voice had so much intensity and emotion behind it, and also the lyrics of the song. i am a 35 year old man, and i dont cry much but that song and his voice had me in tears. and for an artist to touch your heart like that is amazing.

A lot of Scottish people pronounce “free” and “three” the same way, it’s the same with “frew” and “through”.

this is the first video ive seen of yours and literally within the first 4 seconds i already felt overcome with happiness (which never happens anymore, i typically dont feel happiness like that just from seeing and hearing someone talk) because you just feel so welcoming and you give off good vibes. you seem like the kind of person that is amazing to even just be around, and if i had someone like you in my life, i would be in a much better spot right now. i came from watching a bunch of different covers of this song so i was at a low on an emotional rollercoaster and then soon as i click on your video i instantly start smiling like an idiot lol. we need more people like you on this planet

Lewis Capaldi has one of those voices that can make you just completely speechless. The kind of singing voice that you wish you could have. The kind of voice that is strong and filled with so much heart that when you hear it, it can make you tear up.

I cry so much and get teary-eyed to this song, it's so beautiful & I relate to it so bad. I'm not really into artists in the charts (I prefer rock, punk, metal) but as soon as I found his other song "Grace" I was hooked! But I couldn't remember who sang it at first (since I was skipping through the music channels on TV) so I hadn't listened to him in ages but, a month or so ago, I had an advert on TH-cam for the music video to "Someone You Loved" since the actor Peter Capaldi (his known role, in my opinion, is him playing the 12th Doctor from Doctor Who) is in the music video and I was like, "No way is The Doctor in a music video" lmao, and had to watch it lmao. Ever since then I've been addicted to Lewis Capaldi and I really want to see him live but I know if I did I'd most likely will bawl my eyes out if he sang it live.

His voice is incredible - I discovered him last June and gott tickets to see him in quite a small venue (compared to where he's in now 😂) and he was so powerful and there's so many songs not yet released that are just as beautiful
