Layout and Extraction

This workshop will expand upon the topics introduced in the previous "Schematics and Simulation" workshop. It will highlight the most popular open-source tools for layout, "Magic" and "KLayout," and will cover the requirements and guidelines necessary for the layout phase of the Chipalooza design challenge.
What you will learn:
1) Demonstrate the process of converting a schematic netlist into an initial layout using Magic.
2) Illustrate how to create component layouts with parameterized device generation in both Magic and KLayout.
3) Explain how to perform parasitic extraction in Magic for final signoff simulations.
4) Discuss best practices for layout and how to meet specific challenge requirements, such as constructing deep N-well structures.
