He made me go for Chota Gandharv program since it was his last program and my High School Secondary final was the next day. My father still made me go for that Program. He said, "Final Exam will come next year but Chota Gandharva you will miss for ever. So, I attended the program and Passed the Final in Good grades. My father, I remember for ever.
My college Days, we used to attend Veenatai, Prabha Atre , Suresh Haldankar and a few more every Saturday wherever their show was, my friend and I used to attend till 2 in the morning sometimes. Coming home those hours without fear. Very Happy days in Nagpur.
While listening to it, I felt, initially she let your soul relax as much as it wanted, then she slowly took it with her to unknown territory holding your hand firmly but never left us even for a second. No extra note, no extra Harkat. She was a Perfectionist and I got to know today... May Almighty be with you always and protect you wherever you are !

Very true ! It's mesmerizing! I love the taan at 24 and listen repeatedly. Harmonium saath is amazing. I was not understanding the word "Ritu" and had written an email to Veenatai 3-4 years ago. To my pleasant surprise reply came immediately explaining the word.
Raga bagesree sung by renowned Veena Sahasrabuddhe is gifted heavenly something like amrita which can be listened calmly than described.l can just listen the rest is beyond my power of expression. With my best regards to respected Veena Sahasrabuddhe.12/6/22.

Vidushi Veena Sahasrabuddhe is singing Bageshri in Vilambit and tarana for 31 minutes and Hansadhwani in Vilambit and tarana for 21 minutes. Seems to be a live recording which was recorded and published later. Mr Tambe may know better.
Veenji visited Bahrain in mid 80s on invitation of Indian Fine Art Society of Bahrain. She presented two concerts , very memorable. She was very pleasant person. Deeply saddened by her premature passing away
i think it is a curse to be a good singer. first, god snatched away the talented mrs. ranjini hebbar and later this great singer.. pray god pl.dont' do this in future.

i got addicted to this raag from 1974 .
