Hi Kelli, it's been awhile. Lol. I'm really amazed by how out of the box this is for OPI. I really think this collection captures the LA vibe of unexpected color arrangements you can find in a major city. Yes, it's not cohesive in the traditional sense, but LA is not a traditional city either. The holo polish really blew me away. Yes, the flame is not strong like an indie, but OPI usually has issues when it strays away from cremes and I was amazed by the smooth application. I would say Abstract After Dark is my top fave! I like a lit from within the dark deep. Thank you Kelli for you beautiful swatches and stay well.
I think I disagree about the color story critique, I like the stone-y industrial but pops of color vibe. This collection feels predominantly cool toned which isn’t always everyone’s aesthetic. I really like how opi threw some different textures in the mix. I will not pick up the whole collection, though. That’s for reviewing!
For cheaper brands like Sinful Colors I always buy the full collection. For more expensive polishes I usually just get the colors I like, however if I liked all but 1 or 2, I would just buy them all.
While I didn't love every color in this collection, it amazes me that OPI can continue to create and name so many beautiful and brilliant colors! I don't usually purchase whole collections, these videos help me narrow down my selections 😃

But it is my favorite brand (I also like Essie but we don't get that here). So whenever a new collections comes up I watch several swatch and review videos to narrow down the selection, because buying the entire collection is kind of unaffordable here. Kelly's and Phoebe's reviews are the most helpful for me.
I really love OPI polishes. I will be buying some of the colors from this collection. I really like the way you describe the colors and formula and your honesty. I feel the same the colors can stand alone but as a collection it was all over the page.
I love the blue ones. Especially the holo. It doesn't bother me that the holo doesn't show up so well. It looks so pretty without the holo. But the periwinkle one!! Oh wow! Soooo pretty.
I thought that your favorite birthstone would be Sapphire (dark blue), or Amethyst (purple). My Kelli's Green and Kelli's Emerald Orly collaboration polishes just arrived today! 💚 The one polish in this OPI collection that I might consider is, Abstract After Dark. It looks pretty cool!
In regards to your question about buying whole collections... I tend not to buy whole collections because I don't have the space or money lol! But also I try to stay away from similar colors I might already have. I do have a few full collections... the only full OPI collection I have is fall 2019, because it was Scotland themed and my partner is from Scotland and I love it there :) I do love the colors in that collection too. From this collection I picked up Abstract After Dark, Violet Visionary and Graffiti Sweetie :)
I buy polishes individually but sometimes I end up buying a few polishes. I do like that OPI decided to go with Hollywood for Spring and LA for fall. These are different colours for fall but it isn’t necessarily my cup of tea. I picked up 2 polishes from this collection. Thank you for your swatches!

I think you have to remember the collection name, and then consider what LA is like in the fall, which is not the season that other places experience it. When I lived there, autumn was more like spring in other places--coolish evenings (light sweater), a little windy here and there, maybe some rain, but most of the time, it's the stereotypical LA climate of pleasant, sunny days, not cool but not hot, either. So the paler colors actually suit autumn there, while the other ones seem to be grudging acknowledgement of what other places think a fall collection must look like. I don't recall ever wearing a sweater of any kind during the day there until... Hm. I think Thanksgiving? Now if they'd named the collection "Downtown San Francisco," then, yeah, you'd have a point about those colors not really fitting in, but LA? Nah, those suit LA in October just fine.
Thanks for another beautiful and informative presentation. I think that OPI is so popular mainly because of the variety of colors they offer, something for everyone. Personally I am not concerned with the color story in a collection. It works for promotion but not necessarily for a polish collector. I pick up a few "gems" from a collection that I find I can't live without... This time it's "7th and Flower" and "Angel's Flight to Starry Nights"- It applies like a dream and the color is just perfection.

I got the rose gold one in polish and gel, but it is quite similar to other rose golds I have so not as special as I thought. The gel one is a lot more sheer too. Last years autumn collection was so perfect and felt autumnal and the first time I discovered OPI, so I thought this year would be similar.

My birthstone is Ruby and I love it but my favorite color is green so I am obsessed with Emerald. Zoya’s ‘Regina’ is one of my favorite colors. I think you did a wonderful job with your hair. Muse of Milan from last year was going to be hard to beat for sure! I actually do like this collection though. I saw someone on another swatch video that these colors made sense for fall in warmer climates rather than matching the changing leaves of classic fall locations like New England. I love a good full collection. I honestly still kick myself for not picking up all of the shades I love from the Love, OPI XOXO collection from (2017-2018??) when I watched you review it. All beautiful shades. I also have the entire Washington D.C. collection from 2016 (minus the bonus shades that I think were Ulta exclusives) and I have the full OPI Scotland collection. Last year’s fall collection was gorgeous looking back on it but at the time I wasn’t feeling it (of course I watched it on vacation while at Sturgeon Bay so I was in full vacation mode). Now, I want to get some of those shades if I can find them 🥲 This year’s collection seems very after the holidays winter to me because of all of the cool tones. They’re gorgeous but don’t scream fall to me. I still might pick some up if my Ulta stocks them (they were all sold out yesterday). Have a great day, Kelli!

Favorite birthstone...hm. I'm garnet and I've never been a huge fan. I've always liked ruby or diamond. Your hair looks great. Next time I get mine done, I'm heading back to pink. 💓

Ohh I love the Angel's Flight to Starry Nights. Mostly been buying indies lately, but I might have to pick that one up. The only full collection I've ever bought is Rogue Lacquer's sprinkles collection - she does such gorgeous flakie crellies

I buy mine individually! Also I loved the deep blue shade and deep blue sparkly one I would buy both and do my ring fingers in the deep blue sparkly shade and the rest in the deep blue cream shade! Or every other in sparkly and cream! Love them!!
Absolutely nothing wrong with an honest opinion. I very rarely get a whole collection. more individual polishes that really attract me. I agree the two middle bottom row polishes are really nice.
I love that my birthstone is the diamond, but they can be really spendy so I usually wear amethyst since it's purple and that's my favorite color! Really like this fall line from OPI. I might have to splurge and pick up the collection. 😊
I swear to god My Studio's on Spring is Jade is the New Black. That was one of my first OPI colors that got discontinued and I kept finding a dupe for it for a while now.
That's so spooky, I've done a little doodle every day this year and for Sunday I drew a ruby. Haven't drawn a gem yet, it's my birthstone too. Usually I draw food or maybe something appropriate for the day. No real rhyme or reason to it, i just draw whatever I feel like lol. Oh and this happens to be an art-inspired collection that's too much, lol 😱 My doodles are tiny and cutesy but it's technically art 😆
There are quite a few I’m going to get from this collection. I work in a setting where I need my nails to look professional. I do push the boundaries with some fun pops of color. I like the holo blue bc it is more of a neutral holo. It’s soft and elegant w a little sparkle. I’m trying to decide between that and Cirque’s Hygge polish.
Abstract After Dark and Angel's Flight to Starry Nights are the only two that are even a little interesting to me from this collection. Some of the other colors are nice too, but just not very interesting or unique.
I totally feel you on the colour story front. Last year was perfection and this year I'm not feeling it. But I guess it's also just personal preference.
Studio’s on Spring is a lot greener than any of the OPI teals I have. I would say it is closest to Amazon Amazoff, so maybe you wouldn’t want this one if you have that, but it’s a lot greener than shades like Is That a Spear in Your Pocket?

Look at that gradient hair!! 👏👏 As someone who hails from the southern hemisphere and now lives in the north; whenever I see collections like this I feel like they're trying to cater to everyone globally that's entering both the fall and the spring at the same time. ☀️🍂 I have my own opinions of whether that's good or bad (or both), but as someone who does not buy full collections ~70% of the time, I'm usually not too bothered if collections don't feel cohesive enough as a color story. Overall I think this collection is ok, and most of it can work well as gradients with the bottom row.
I have so many reactions! 1) I agree, meh on the color story but individual polishes are nice. 2) 💓💜💙 your hair!!!! 3) I think there are both semiprecious and precious versions of birthstones. I love Lapis Lazuli which is December but it’s not mine. The Cirque version doesn’t have enough gold flecks 😢😢😢. 4) I don’t usually buy in collections but sometimes - I’m about to buy the whole China Glaze Halloween collection, and I belatedly rounded out my LA Colors Neon Jelly collection on your recommendation by video and I’m glad I did. And I got all the Diamond Crush ones. For the price the Holo is amazing. And 4/6 Orly summer collection. So I guess I’m going that way - uh oh. hashtag KelliMadeMeBuyIt.
I never buy the full collection from OPI. I like the brand but even with the collections that I loved I’ve never been so blown away that I felt like I needed the entire thing. I find that when a collection is in the 6-8 bottles range I’m more likely to just buy everything even if there is something I don’t love but once you get over about 8 bottles in a collection I’ll pick and choose which bottles I want. In this case, I pre-ordered abstract after dark just because I can’t resist vampy-glittery. Everything else felt like something I either already have or wouldn’t wear.
Totally get that! I do love the six polish collections from brands like Orly because they always feel like they're curated well haha. But occasionally a 12 polish set will totally blow me away!
What’s your favorite 1-coat rose gold? My nails are trying to be as long as yours and my hands are in the water constantly, so I think that a 1-coat metallic is what will hit the spot. I’d like to buy one that has good reviews and of course I’m starting with you.

I definitely have been sucked into buying entire collections based on the look, but most of the time I pick and choose. I love the purple-navy (plavy?), though, and would pick that up. I haven't met a lot of people who don't like diamonds, lol.

I'm looking for a good burgundy color for fall I'm feeling that color in my head Edit: also totally agree this collection is.....sigh. like you said there's nothing wrong with it but honestly feels kinda basic. Biggest interest to me was abstract after dark for sure and its beautiful irl. I don't normally buy full collections but it is also gratifying to have lots of fun ones to keep picking up and trying instead of mmmmmeh I only like one out of the whole bunch already feeling impatient for next collection release cos I hope it's not boring. Not slamming opi they are iconic and my fave big brand but still.

I like 7th and flower, violet visionary, grand Ave, and studio on spring. Tho I have too many variations of those 4 colors and need to stay away! My birthstone is blue topaz but I love sapphire and ruby. Theyre both such deep vibrant colors.

I've been waiting for this video! Autumn is my favourite season, so I've been impatiently waiting for the Fall releases haha. 7th and Flower is really catching my eye and Espresso Your Inner Self is beautiful but not sure how it would look on me. I hope that Kelli reviews the China Glaze fall collection because all the polishes in that collection look beautiful 💜
I found the duochromes you referred me to, one was actually called "oil slick." To my surprise, I thought they looked awful on me. I had no idea that nail polish could look bad on my hands but there it is. I took them off (I tried two different brands/colors) and painted my nails hot shimmer pink instead.
Oh man I'm sorry to hear that! I know that dark colors can sometimes feel weird (although I'm sure it didn't look as bad as you thought!). There are a few brands that make lighter versions (basically a light jelly base with a duochrome shimmer in it - not as pronounced of an effect but still shifty!) If you want to give it another try, KBShimmer comes to mind for those light bases with duochrome shimmer.
Didn’t care for this collection. Usually don’t buy entire collections, and on this one I’m not going to pick up any of them. And I’m typically an OPI lover! Thanks for the review. 😃 Love your hair, it looks great.

Ohh I love the Angel's Flight to Starry Nights. Mostly been buying indies lately, but I might have to pick that one up. The only full collection I've ever bought is Rogue Lacquer's sprinkles collection - she does such gorgeous flakie crellies
Nice swatches and collection! I was picturing the cirque top coats on each creme, especially their gold flake and smaller fleck ones! I thought you would say emerald green birthstone for May because of your green polishes! Mine is sapphire
I buy mine individually! Also I loved the deep blue shade and deep blue sparkly one I would buy both and do my ring fingers in the deep blue sparkly shade and the rest in the deep blue cream shade! Or every other in sparkly and cream! Love them!!
Absolutely nothing wrong with an honest opinion. I very rarely get a whole collection. more individual polishes that really attract me. I agree the two middle bottom row polishes are really nice.

I love that my birthstone is the diamond, but they can be really spendy so I usually wear amethyst since it's purple and that's my favorite color!
Really like this fall line from OPI. I might have to splurge and pick up the collection. 😊
I swear to god My Studio's on Spring is Jade is the New Black. That was one of my first OPI colors that got discontinued and I kept finding a dupe for it for a while now.

That's so spooky, I've done a little doodle every day this year and for Sunday I drew a ruby. Haven't drawn a gem yet, it's my birthstone too. Usually I draw food or maybe something appropriate for the day. No real rhyme or reason to it, i just draw whatever I feel like lol. Oh and this happens to be an art-inspired collection that's too much, lol 😱 My doodles are tiny and cutesy but it's technically art 😆

There are quite a few I’m going to get from this collection. I work in a setting where I need my nails to look professional. I do push the boundaries with some fun pops of color. I like the holo blue bc it is more of a neutral holo. It’s soft and elegant w a little sparkle. I’m trying to decide between that and Cirque’s Hygge polish.
Abstract After Dark and Angel's Flight to Starry Nights are the only two that are even a little interesting to me from this collection. Some of the other colors are nice too, but just not very interesting or unique.

I’d love to see some comparisons with other opi similar colours for Studio Spring. I always go for teal but I might already have something similar
Studio’s on Spring is a lot greener than any of the OPI teals I have. I would say it is closest to Amazon Amazoff, so maybe you wouldn’t want this one if you have that, but it’s a lot greener than shades like Is That a Spear in Your Pocket?

Look at that gradient hair!! 👏👏 As someone who hails from the southern hemisphere and now lives in the north; whenever I see collections like this I feel like they're trying to cater to everyone globally that's entering both the fall and the spring at the same time. ☀️🍂 I have my own opinions of whether that's good or bad (or both), but as someone who does not buy full collections ~70% of the time, I'm usually not too bothered if collections don't feel cohesive enough as a color story. Overall I think this collection is ok, and most of it can work well as gradients with the bottom row.

I have so many reactions! 1) I agree, meh on the color story but individual polishes are nice. 2) 💓💜💙 your hair!!!! 3) I think there are both semiprecious and precious versions of birthstones. I love Lapis Lazuli which is December but it’s not mine. The Cirque version doesn’t have enough gold flecks 😢😢😢. 4) I don’t usually buy in collections but sometimes - I’m about to buy the whole China Glaze Halloween collection, and I belatedly rounded out my LA Colors Neon Jelly collection on your recommendation by video and I’m glad I did. And I got all the Diamond Crush ones. For the price the Holo is amazing. And 4/6 Orly summer collection. So I guess I’m going that way - uh oh. hashtag KelliMadeMeBuyIt.
I like the collections in the mini bottles
I never buy the full collection from OPI. I like the brand but even with the collections that I loved I’ve never been so blown away that I felt like I needed the entire thing. I find that when a collection is in the 6-8 bottles range I’m more likely to just buy everything even if there is something I don’t love but once you get over about 8 bottles in a collection I’ll pick and choose which bottles I want. In this case, I pre-ordered abstract after dark just because I can’t resist vampy-glittery. Everything else felt like something I either already have or wouldn’t wear.
Totally get that! I do love the six polish collections from brands like Orly because they always feel like they're curated well haha. But occasionally a 12 polish set will totally blow me away!

OPI Fall 2020 was perfection! There are a couple of colors I like here. I don’t buy the whole collection because well, storage? Lol!

What’s your favorite 1-coat rose gold? My nails are trying to be as long as yours and my hands are in the water constantly, so I think that a 1-coat metallic is what will hit the spot. I’d like to buy one that has good reviews and of course I’m starting with you.
My fav of this collection is definitely abstract after dark it's so pretty and it reminds me of cosmo with a twist 😀😊my favouite birthstone is amythest since mine is garnet but i also like the rhodalite garnet aswell it's like a pretty purplely pink it's very pretty too 😊😄

I don’t usually buy whole collection of polish because 1/ it’s hella expensive 2/ i don’t always adore all the colors and 3/ because i know have so many nail polish that i can’t justify needing all of them 😂 i do sometimes purchase a whole collection if i instantly fall in love with it, my last one was the enchanted polish pokemon one 😝
Anyways those look nice but let me tell you i’m most definitely buying the last 3 ones i looooove kinda dusky shades those light ones lack in my collection so they’re coming home 😍

I definitely have been sucked into buying entire collections based on the look, but most of the time I pick and choose. I love the purple-navy (plavy?), though, and would pick that up.

Edit: also totally agree this collection is.....sigh. like you said there's nothing wrong with it but honestly feels kinda basic. Biggest interest to me was abstract after dark for sure and its beautiful irl. I don't normally buy full collections but it is also gratifying to have lots of fun ones to keep picking up and trying instead of mmmmmeh I only like one out of the whole bunch already feeling impatient for next collection release cos I hope it's not boring. Not slamming opi they are iconic and my fave big brand but still.
Uh idk why but I’m sad about this collection! Last years was definitely an all around win! But you can’t win em all lol thank you for being honest! I think I’ll wait for winter with OPI 😊
My current favorites are moissanite, pearls, lapis lazuli and moonstone.
My birthstone is amethyst (February), but my other favourites are opal (October) and moonstone (June).
I like 7th and flower, violet visionary, grand Ave, and studio on spring. Tho I have too many variations of those 4 colors and need to stay away!
My birthstone is blue topaz but I love sapphire and ruby. Theyre both such deep vibrant colors.

I've been waiting for this video! Autumn is my favourite season, so I've been impatiently waiting for the Fall releases haha. 7th and Flower is really catching my eye and Espresso Your Inner Self is beautiful but not sure how it would look on me. I hope that Kelli reviews the China Glaze fall collection because all the polishes in that collection look beautiful 💜
I found the duochromes you referred me to, one was actually called "oil slick." To my surprise, I thought they looked awful on me. I had no idea that nail polish could look bad on my hands but there it is. I took them off (I tried two different brands/colors) and painted my nails hot shimmer pink instead.
Oh man I'm sorry to hear that! I know that dark colors can sometimes feel weird (although I'm sure it didn't look as bad as you thought!). There are a few brands that make lighter versions (basically a light jelly base with a duochrome shimmer in it - not as pronounced of an effect but still shifty!) If you want to give it another try, KBShimmer comes to mind for those light bases with duochrome shimmer.
Didn’t care for this collection. Usually don’t buy entire collections, and on this one I’m not going to pick up any of them. And I’m typically an OPI lover! Thanks for the review. 😃
