The Avalanches Wildflower Hip Hop Breakdown
Bandstand Hot Hip Hop Rap Samples - เพลง
Who's ready for that Avalanche & Jay Electronica album they're teasing for 2046!?!?!?!
Bandstand everyone
Harvey Sunshine thank you
Do Jay Electronica next
gay electronica
You’re amazing bandstand!!!!
(From Wikipedia) When asked if Wildflower has more than the estimated 3,500 samples on the former record, Chater stated "I’ve got no idea...there’s probably more. It’s so fragmented. Every little footstep and voice and yell and clatter and cowhorn and dog barking, it’s just ridiculous."
eh...950 ish
Bandstand close enough 😎😎
Thanks
@@Bandstand dude were you one of the avalanches I’d probably trust their authority when it comes to how many samples they use because they’re literally the best at it
@@quetzal7432 This is coming from Robbie himself. I’m not making up numbers. Rob made the distinction of 950 or so samples cut up into 3000+ pieces
The Avalanches are the sample video maker's dream and nightmare
You could make a whole series about their albums extreme amount of samples, man
There songs are literally just samples
I want die 420 Lol! You’re saying that as if it’s easy. I tried recreating Since I Left You and my god...never again!
lol every other video from this channel is 2 to 9 minutes long and this one is 18 minutes long
@@mr.c8101 That’s the appeal.
They just spend the last decade finding shit to sample because I swear to god like probably like 500 people know some of these songs
Lowgain honestly, they are way
too underrated
Whether or not you like this album, you can’t deny the production Frankie Sinatra and Folkstar is literally S Tier
Ok, but when's the Genius disstrack dropping?
I love both albums, but this album holds a little more importance to me than Since I Left You. The beautiful, sunny, melancholy is unlike anything ive ever heard, and i really applaud this dope ass video that captures the spirit of the album perfectly and honors the hard work put into it. Much love man ✌️
They’re both amazing works of art, and SILY revolutionized sample based music forever, but Wildflower is better at linking the songs together to make you feel for the songs. SILY is amazing at always sounding great and making me want to dance.
I fucking love Wildflower.
Jay Electronica, nice to see him drop something after like 2 decades
Who
@Henry-Bart your family
@Henry-Bart your taste
^^ Get a room you two 😂
Shame the album was a mediocre Jay-Z collab.
All 3 Avalanches albums take me to different places:
SILY: A Cruiseship
Wildflower: Saturday Morning In The Summer
WWALY: Space
SbAce
that's super cool next time i'm on shrooms ill go to all three
one of my favourite albums to date
ggod i love how perfectly all the footage you use perfectly captures the avalanches' spirit and sound
oh my goodness
Noisy Eater also features a children's choir singing the Beatles - Come Together
drazile but is it sampled? That’s the Q
@@Bandstand there's definitely SOMEONE singing "Come Together" in there, but a cursory TH-cam search I did reveals no obvious cover versions
@@Bandstand I found a cover by The Supremes that might be it
kmarasin I’m going to sound like a complete ass but I’m not that interested bro. This record sucks ass
@@Bandstand heh I'm a bigger Beatles fan than Avalanches so it just jumped out; I just liked Subways, otherwise sounded like a bunch of nostalgia put through a meat grinder
WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE
this guy lol
The Lost During Production Sample at around 16:53 is from the Jon Hassel/Brian Eno album Fourth World Vol 1. Possible Musics. Don't know the song title off hand, but I'd recognize that sound ANYWHERE.
was gonna post the same thing!!! immediately jumped out
Oh come on, just came for the Saturday inside out sample!!
3:43 I didn't know Subways sampled Subways.
oof
the fly girlz - born 2 b fly
was high, started this, realized I wasnt high enough and paused it to roll.
Yo you have the same real name as Father John misty
i like to think Bandstand's just been run by FJM this whole time
It might be
yooo he was workiin
I'm in awe. I thought I'd find the source of the magic, but most of the samples are quite ordinary on their own. It really shows how talented Avalanches are! It's like Boards of Canada - music that you'd swear you've heard before but they've "designed" it like that. From wikipedia: "Hauntology is a genre or loose category of music that evokes cultural memory and the aesthetics of the past."
Thanks for that info, I was thinking anachronistic music, music out of time. This explains it better!
This álbum sure helped me trhu the pandemic. God bless them!
Definitivamente
same
this was edited really well. and i really love this album since it came out.
Finally! I love the avalanches so much and been subscribed to this channel way back when you did the since I left you video
16:43 I know someone commented it already but the "lost in production" sample is "Ba-Benzélé" by Jon Hassell & Brian Eno from their first and only collaboration record, Fourth World Vol. 1.
Raaahhh literally was going to ask for this last night thank you so much xx
This album blew my mind when I first heard it. It blew my mind a year later when i started finding samples they used. It blew my mind a few years later when i revisited. U just made it blow my fuckin mind AGAIN
The visuals for the Wildflower songs were so good I almost thought they released a movie alonglisde their album like Daft Punk’s Interstella 5555
The was kinda counts as a movie but half the tracks are ommitted
Heres a project that reminds me alot of the avalanches that would be crazy to know the samples too:
Ulises Valadez Contreras - Noir 2020 Remastered
Bro. Just the sheer amount of EFFORT you must have put into finding, downloading all these sources, let alone editing the video is fucking amazing.... makes me appreciate the Avalanches more as well. Excelente
This album change my life, I love it
Thanks! Is all a trip this video
This is a comment you’ll probably not see but...
This is one of those videos on TH-cam I always come back to, time and time again. I love the album, it’s this lovely summer psychedelic record that I can listen to in the sun. The editing In your videos is top notch. Lovely transitions and the odd tweak to a transition to keep people engaged with the format of these videos. I love the Avalanches just as much as I love your videos on them. I hope to see you do We Will Always Love You, as that’s on my heavy rotation at the moment. The way you sample and create your TH-cam videos is so mesmerising. Thank you for this great video, it always catches me off guard at how much of a transcendent experience it is to watch and listen. I hope Paris rests easy X
Great edit. Thank you for your work as always.
You did it again! Thank you so much
This is criminally underviewed. Excellent work by you.
this is insane dude amazing job
At some point between the tracks "Going Home" and "If I Was a Folkstar", I know there's a sample of the metallic 'beeps' that street crossing buttons make here in Australia. It's very distinctive, and you hear it about three times in a row
Sandwich if that’s the case it’s not a sample
@@Bandstand You mean they record their samples out on the street and it’s a side effect of it?
@@nottucks You can’t record samples. You can either sample something or use microphones to record sounds
@@Bandstand I was making a joke. Apparently I am bad at making jokes. No more jokes from me.
FAB vid! Awesome production, seriously good job on this
I just want to say that if it weren't for your video on the Avalanches' first album, I never would have known about them. I appreciate all that you do, and I'm sorry to hear about your loss. Also, what is that last clip from? It's so serene.
made it 3 years ago. It’s lost from my memory now. Sry I’m glad I turned you on to Avs 🙏🏻
Joseph Han The last clip is from the music video of Hunnybee - Unknown Mortal Orchestra
Since I went to the beach and this album just clicked three ago, I've been wondering when you were going to make this video. It's just amazing
A Written Testimony by Jay Electronica please
I love you for this!!!
Favourite album ever
Jesus Christ I knew there was a lot of samples but avalanches are the best samplers I’ve ever heard!

THE ABSOLUTE LEGEND
Holy shit a Wildflower samples video I'd never thought you'd make this video i'm so happyyyyyyyy
Genius levels of sampling
You the goat for this
Fucking hell this is the hardest I've ever seen a TH-camr work. Good job homies
This is amazing
The Avalanches are the best things coming from Australia besides Steve Irwin, Nick Cave, Kylie Minogue and that guy drinking a VB longneck at 7.40 in the morning!
Their albums are real journeys and compilations like these allowed me to discover so many obscure and forgotten gems it's unbelievable.
I just wanted to say that you are one of the reason why i wanted to remake Since I Left You and being their new fans 🙌
LESS GO THANK YOU
I know y’all put a lot of time and effort in these i have so much respect and I love the visuals too maybe on the next video y’all can put the title of the video y’all use on the top right corner
It’s a wonderful sight~!
Harmony is such a great song
not enough credit, always love your vids man
FINALLY!
Wonderful job as always! I have a serious question. How are you doing this? Some of the samples are so buried I am having trouble understanding how you are able pick them out at all. I am so impressed with your work!
whosampled.com people find samples and i glue them together
@@Bandstand thank you for the reply, I appreciate it. You do a great job of piecing everything together!
That is such a tremendous website, been using it for years.
Also check out r/TheAvalanches . Sometimes they find samples out of nowhere.
@@huntrrams will do, thank you for the recommendation!
Now all we need is we will always love you and then it's all complete
such a great video :o
Obra de arte contemporáneo
This is so impressive
I love the Avalanches !
masterclass
This is the best fucking album of all time.
I like the fact you got the car speeding sound effect haha
God it's amazing
the avalanches love themselves a good crowd/ambiance sample
@Bandstand: 'Colours' also featured a sample from Brazilian singer Tuca's track 'Verde'
Ade Yesufu it’s in the video...
God tier content
HELL YEAH AVALANCHES!!!
Every sample from DJ Shadows’ Endtroducing...?
Jesus I wanted to say that!!!
nice editing, FJM
Wildflower is the shiznit, their best hands down
Imagine clearing the samples for this. Jesus christ what a mission.
Pat Shannahan does most of these but since most of the samples are so obscure she only really has to clear if the song was published by universal or sum.
Finally yes
Thank you so much! ;-)
Though there's a bit more that'll remain in obscurity for the foreseeable future!
