'UNDEFEATED' can be considered a pre-Woke up song, created during the transition from the first to the second phase of XG in collaboration with a game company. It's a track highly appreciated by core XG fans. The song features a lot of rap, making it a compelling listen, so I highly recommend checking it out. Your reactions are genuinely real, and I absolutely love them.
Setting the song itself aside, this video is really a masterpiece and deserves more recognition. It pays so much homage to both Michael Jackson (Earth Song) and the Japanese anime Princess Mononoke it's really incredible. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Jurin and Harvey's football scheme is so intricate a lot of people don't catch everything. It was in order! Jurin said huddle up, play, then Harvey said first down, touch down + caught the throw, got the goal, run it back. First you huddle up then run a play, move the chains with a first down, then make it to the end zone by catching a pass in this case, then kick the extra point which is simply a field goal from close range, then there's the kickoff which is "run back" by the other team. Harvey ended with "do I really gotta run it back?" Bars!!! 🔥🔥🔥 I know you're not a bar breakdown guy but I'm so impressed with this that I love sharing it.
I'm impressed on how perceptive you are about the group, though you kind of got Maya wrong, being that she's very fluent in English and hip-hop. You learned their names quite well and have been mostly spot on.
Today I'm 41 years old and in 97 at the age of 14 I started dancing Breakdance. It's satisfying to see reactions like yours bruh. The Alphaz here already show that the hip hop culture of the 90s and Y2k remains alive through a wonderful group like this. Keep going, because your reactions and your passion will only increase as we also identify with you. ❤️🔥
Maya went to Seisen International School and is fluent in English. When you listen to her speak in an interview you’ll realize that her “Americanized influence” is not contrived. Also, once you have the opportunity to watch their documentary series it will become clearer as to who they are. Btw, it’s Juria that you keep referencing as the singer you can’t remember 😂 I too went down the XG rabbit hole involuntarily…well worth it! They’re different! Enjoy my friend…great reactions!!
Her English is fluent, but I totally get what he means when he said her first cypher felt a little contrived. Like she still delivered but it felt more forced than the say Coconan and Jurin's
Sir, you aren’t wrong at all about their 90’s sound, that’s who they are and they told us many times in various interviews that they are 90’ , 2k hip-hop, r&b. Please react to Left Right. I think you’ll like it a lot, thank you,
I’m loving your XG videos! Definitely check out Hesonoo & X-Gene performance video next. You won’t regret it! To help understand the video better, hesonoo means umbilical cord.
Ooo yes, if you found the video distracting you should definitely check out the Howling choreography video or a live performance! Thank you for another great reaction!
I like your reactions. As one of ALPHAZ, I look forward to your reactions to XG in the future, but please react at your own pace without forcing yourself ☺️
Yep. Their training originally focused on dancing. Turns out their vocals and rap were so good, many viewers forgot they could actually slay as a dance crew.
I think you’d REALLY appreciate their documentary series on TH-cam called XTRA XTRA! It shows the 5 years of training and cuts they went through to end up with the 7 talented girlies we have now! Very emotional and a good insight into the kpop training culture in general! 🙏🏾🤍
These ladies really do appreciate the culture, they aint rappin just a bunch of gibbirish i mean thay are rappin' RAPPIN, it's just sad how underrated they are its almost criminal. I really appreciate how you react to these queens.,
Og Maya is a beast once you look into them you will find out that they do write some of their stuff and they are into hiphop not just performing. Those solo tapes you watched are old and they have newer ones and you will see their progress. Check out Harvey and Mya's TWO TENS. Fire!!! They all have solo rap tapes and your gonna love Coco's DIRT OFF YOUR SHOULDERS. If you want to focus on them they do their songs at dance practice then you can focus on them
I like your reactions to XG. As a fan of XG, I'm happy to know how Americans of a generation who loved rap rate them. I think they really love the music of the 90s and are bringing it back to life in the present day. Please respond to the XG Tape series. You'll get to know them better and start to like them more❤
So XG is so diverse that they are basically their own genre. Their music can be R&B, Hip Hop, UK Garage, Trap, Drill, and for a change of pace suggest you check out Left Right, which is Shooting Star’s B Side last year. Then check out Winter Without You on The First Take and then check out In The Rain and Is This Love color coded videos to see some amazing vocals. Also Undefeated, Show You Can (Maya and Cocona) and some XG Tapes. By the way, there are 3 main vocalists: Chisa, Juria and Hinata but the rappers can sing also which you will see if you watch The First Take Winter Without You
I truly hope XG will inspire a new wave of young artists, getting back to music at its core, and make music for the love of it. The funny thing is tape 1 which was before the Cypher, Harvey popped off, same with tapes 3 and 4.
OG. Check out Left Right your really gonna think your back in the 90's. These girls ain't no joke. Jurin and cocona rapped over NOTHIN by Nore they killed it. Got to see all their stuff you will be blown away
Check out the song Show You Can by Cocona and Maya. There is no music video for this song because it was used for a Korean dance competition show, Street Woman Fighter. They were officially credited for writing this song. Alphaz did upload color coded English lyric video with audio soundtrack. 😃
And to think most those videos are Green screen with a little CGI. Their behind the scenes on how it’s all done is also fucking mind blowing bro. What they do who they are and what they represent as a group is beyond what any group I’ve seen before. Everything they do down from their concepts, music videos, lyrics, visuals all have an intricate meaning behind it. EVERYTHING IS INTENTIONAL! It’s why they call them XTRAORDINARY GIRLS. But again nearly on 3yrs in being in the actual industry now. Soo who knows where the future goes with them… let’s hope they do an original together. Either way these girls have my fucking heart.
There was a lot of mj love in this, thriller, moonwalk, the chorus is a little mj earth. The howling part though is sort of sexy immigration song lol. Little bit of zeppelin. But agreed on rappers, people can’t really understand what they are doing unless you love the science of rap and studio stuff. They lower and raise pitch to blend, the cadences are on point, the emphases, it’s all so clean. And they absolutely crush these verses on your with live mics too. It’s wild. Cuz we all know rap is one of the hardest genres to work live.
Im with you on Cocona. Her voice and her attitude are just addicting. And yes, there is that '90's vibe for sure, yet somehow they--dare I say--elevate the sound to something solidly 21st century and Cyberpunk.
There is also a howling dance choreography performance and a dance live performance with the outfit if you like to check it out😅😊 don't think you'll wanna miss it.😅
So XG is so diverse that they are basically their own genre. Their music can be R&B, Hip Hop, UK Garage, Trap, Drill, and for a change of pace suggest you check out Left Right, which is Shooting Star’s B Side last year. By the way, there are 3 main vocalists: Chisa, Juria and Hinata but the rappers can sing also which you will see if you watch The First Take Winter Without You . And by the way. Yes they did grow up in music and Rap and R&B as they have said many times in interviews and also Cocona did a rap audition at the age of 11. She just turned 19 this month as did Maya in August. Cocona is the maknae (youngest) of XG
I’m an old head like you and the draw for me is that 90s:2000s inspired sound….it’s so familiar and nostalgic. I listen to Kpop and XG while having kpop elements, they’re definitely pushing the envelope and carving a new sound that’s more catered to the hip hop & R&B of the west
These girls are dope right? Check out the songs "nothin" and "two tens" and they also got another xypher. Amd you can't forget to check out their vocal line on the xg vox.
More 90s vibes on their Tapes 3A and B and 4, please watch all of them, they love Hip Hop/ Rap so much and they're also great dancers, you can see on the #Move tapes
So you are officially an ALPHA because their fandoms are called ALPHAZ. I knew you were becoming a fan because you know their names pretty good at least the rappers😊 Now they have a dance video that really could have been the video itself because it's really good and it's not as busy.
You should watch a live stage to see their full ability. Just a heads up there are 3 different ways live stages from music shows happen in K-pop, there is live vocals, backing assisted vocals, or lip syncing. I haven’t looked into why but I think it’s the show that usually decides, so it’s nothing against the group’s ability.
Love your insightful reaction! I hope you'll react to Undefeated (incredible breakdown,) and also Left Right (the one that deserves to go Platinum+ like Shooting Star - instantly legendary musical harmony!)
If you like R&B and chill vibes, gotta check “Winter Without You” and “Left Right” MV! These two songs Is what made me become an ALPHA. What spiced It up for me was when I checked out the songs “Hesonoo & X-GENE” and “GRL GVNG”. There’s an opinion I need to fully express to everybody, the reactors, and to the ALPHAZ. Juria Is my main bias but Maya Is my bias wrecker! About Maya, she’s got so much potential that people seem to miscredited her for. She speaks English FLUENTLY on top of speaking Japanese and Korean. When It comes to writings, visuals, concepts, etc. They said It In their Interviews they do everything TOGETHER. Which means whatever message they want to convey whatever they want to write, I believe some of the girls could have some credit for their songs. People want to make claims that they don’t have any credit for the songs they write like “there’s no way” because English Isn’t their strongest language but as an ALPHA since Maya can speak English since she went to an International School, English being my dominant language, It’s hard for me to believe that she(Maya) doesn’t write her own lyrics or have any credit of the writings for their songs just because she’s just fluent In English. Even If they don’t write their own lyrics and let’s just say they have ghost writers so to speak, they’re still great overall. To me It doesn’t make sense that they don’t write their own stuff. They might have some help with their production team but that Is why XG Is so great as a whole and not just the girls. Overall I hope this makes sense about Maya. It seems so degrading and off putting when people make claims that they don’t write their own songs to make It seem like they don’t deserve to be called great or to have the success they deserve when clearly they have Maya. Regardless, 7 of these girls are the best and they all bring something. That’s why they’re great In my book!💖 Other than that they pay homage to what they look up to and what they’re Influenced by. Everything about XG Is 110% real and authentic. Whatever they do, It’s so them. Whatever music or sound they go with, It’s so them. That’s why I love them so much. Nonetheless, great reaction!👌🏽
ALPHAZ 🐺 on deck. Visuals expands the atmosphere of the song and creates an immersive feeling draws the audience into a wild world. The music video depicts XG coming from outer space.🌌 landing on their feet, tearing apart a standardized city where everything is controlled in the same way, transforming it into it own nature, and gradually expanding its power. The work strongly expresses the group strong unity, like a pack of wolves, and their will to change the existing order and world in their own way. One of XG artists they're inspired by is Michael Jackson. XG included Michael Jackson References. Moonwalk, Thriller, Howling, Close to Midnight, and Dangerous in their lyrics. Some Michael Jackson Visuals. "Earth Song" and Caption EO "We Are Here To Change The World" Visuals. Amy Harvey of XG who openly credits Michael Jackson as her inspiration to dream big in the world of music. XG said they're inspired by Beyoncé, Destiny's Child, Aailyah, Rihanna, TLC, H.E.R, SZA, Faith Evans, Lauryn Hill, Billie Eilish, Spice Girls, Kehlani, Janet Jackson, and Michael Jackson and more.
I suggest doing "Left Right" next, followed by "Girl Gvng" and X-Gene/Hesonoo.". You might want to do the last two in the same video because they're short. When you get to "Undefeated," so the Performance video rather than the actual video. Just trust me on that.
You are right, i usually listen to their music before watching their MVs. But you can check their Howling performance on Korean show, where they dance and sing at the same time. P/s: if you plan to upload that video, remember to blur it 'cause copyright
It is Maya. Wait until you hear tape 4. Maya kills it but they all do but Maya is the “ace” of XG. (Ace meaning she can do it all and the hidden gem within the group)
@ yeah they’ll all aces. cos cocona and jurin are probably the best dances in the group but out of the rap line Maya has the best singing voice. Love em all.
Main vocalists: Chisa, Juria, Hinata Main rappers: Cocona, Harvey Main dancers: Jurin, Hinata But all of them are all-rounders (can sing, rap, and dance at an Elite level).
OG there will come a point where you will react to Girl GVNG (girl gang) and you will question life “ is it over, it can’t be over “ just know that the dance practice has the full song so watch both 😊.
When the song is 3 mins but the reaction is 18 mins, that’s how fire they are 🔥
And their Howling live performance is so fire too
Love when the reactor takes their time and doesn’t blow through the video in 5 mins.
Agree
Right! Are u gonna see them at Coachella?
Dude, you were a fan the moment you took time to learn and remember their names
The XG Song “Losing you” will bring you back to the true 90’s R&B. The Vocals and background will blow your mind.
Their whole vibe is 90s which is why a lot of middle aged cats like us are tripping out over them. But their professionalism and skill is making everyone take notice.
44 years old i’m part of this statement. 90s vibe for sure
The main singers are Chisa, Juria and Hinata. React to their cover of Flo's song Losing You. Straight classic r&b.
yesss!!
Agreed that song even though a cover gets me messed up. Stabs meh in the feels like an atomic bomb lol. not saying i dont listen to all XGs music on repeat but that one in particular I've listened to the most. Even flo liked their version of that song.
If someone tells me they don’t get chills when that first howl hits I have to feel like they have no emotions at all.

This 👆💯!!!
On their channel (XG) they have dance practice/performance vids for all of their m/v releases. This is what you get for their stages/concerts.
I'm impressed on how perceptive you are about the group, though you kind of got Maya wrong, being that she's very fluent in English and hip-hop. You learned their names quite well and have been mostly spot on.

I feel the vibe!
LESSS GOOO
UNC YOU GOTTA DO their track
LEFT RIGHT next!!! 💯
Trust me, you gonna love it!!!
For real though, this is one of them ones 🔥
Done!
LEFT RIGHT has to be next! It’s very 90s. Made me feel like I was watching a TLC video.
Yeap
So you are officially an ALPHA because their fandoms are called ALPHAZ. I knew you were becoming a fan because you know their names pretty good at least the rappers😊
Now they have a dance video that really could have been the video itself because it's really good and it's not as busy.
I think you'd love their song Left Right!
Next up
Cocona bias here as well but checkout Maya’s MILLION CASH in Tape #4. Maya’s verse there I think standout to me
If you want some TLC vibes styling wise, check out Girl GVNG. The styling for that video is dope. Left Right is straight up 90s/2000s R&B.
Jeeeesussssee + hand/finger spasm - def an OG move. Can relate.
listen to their song in the rain. it sounds like 90s rnb. the official audio is on the releases tab on their channel. its from their latest album
Let’s go!✌️😊🔥
Check out all there cypers and mix tape and even the move dance tapes
Great reaction my guy keep xg coming doing great no misses woth them so pick a song live,m/v,or otherwise it's fire 🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
thank you
🐺🐺🐺🔥🔥🔥🔥
That’s why they’re great In my book!💖
Other than that they pay homage to what they look up to and what they’re Influenced by. Everything about XG Is 110% real and authentic. Whatever they do, It’s so them. Whatever music or sound they go with, It’s so them. That’s why I love them so much.
Nonetheless, great reaction!👌🏽
Thank you
ALPHAZ 🐺 on deck.
Amy Harvey
of XG who openly credits Michael Jackson as her inspiration to dream big in the world of music.
XG said they're inspired by Beyoncé, Destiny's Child, Aailyah, Rihanna, TLC, H.E.R, SZA, Faith Evans, Lauryn Hill, Billie Eilish, Spice Girls, Kehlani, Janet Jackson, and Michael Jackson and more.
If you really want your mind blown, Cocona recently just turned 19 and the oldest, Chisa is only 23.
Thx for react will.i.am 😁Happy new year!!
Yes that was Maya. Maya is actually the one that speaks fluent English the most out of all the girls. She went to an international school in Japan.
Just do that deep dive it’s worth every minute watch the xg trainee
Oh they can dance,, Check out Jurin and Cocona Move #2.
Please check out the “heesono+xgene” mv - it’s a perfect representation of their rapping technicality, vocals and artistic dance
“Left Right” next!!
Done!
You need to watch the XG Xtra documentary if you haven’t already
I suggest doing "Left Right" next, followed by "Girl Gvng" and X-Gene/Hesonoo.". You might want to do the last two in the same video because they're short. When you get to "Undefeated," so the Performance video rather than the actual video. Just trust me on that.
Please react XG HOWLING LIVE
You are right, i usually listen to their music before watching their MVs. But you can check their Howling performance on Korean show, where they dance and sing at the same time. P/s: if you plan to upload that video, remember to blur it 'cause copyright
It is Maya. Wait until you hear tape 4. Maya kills it but they all do but Maya is the “ace” of XG. (Ace meaning she can do it all and the hidden gem within the group)
At this point it's not just her. Cocona and Jurin also are aces and the first member who could join them is Juria if she starts to rap more.
@ yeah they’ll all aces. cos cocona and jurin are probably the best dances in the group but out of the rap line Maya has the best singing voice. Love em all.
Tape 4...the 4 rappers each do a piece then one all together
If you want a true old-school feel from them, you have to hear the song Left Right. Takes TLC, SWV, En Vogue and mixes them all together.
Done!
You should check out “grl gvng” and “left right” mvs by XG
On it
Main vocalists: Chisa, Juria, Hinata
Main rappers: Cocona, Harvey
Main dancers: Jurin, Hinata
But all of them are all-rounders (can sing, rap, and dance at an Elite level).
Who said they're not write'n it, they help out here and there
All of their influences are from late 90's to early 2000's
OG there will come a point where you will react to Girl GVNG (girl gang) and you will question life “ is it over, it can’t be over “ just know that the dance practice has the full song so watch both 😊.
They are just talented
