Some excellent photos! You learn real fast to advance it right after taking a photo, before ever closing the camera. Your Novar wide open is impressively sharp!
Look for light leaks in the corners and edges of the bellows. Open the back, unfold the camera, go into a dark room and shine a flashlight on to the bellows while looking into the back.
It’s more likely the bellows is leaking light. Put a flashlight in the bellows in a darkened room and pinholes will be revealed. Use gaffers tape or black electrical tape to patch.
It’s probably the most underrated camera in history

I know its late but what film should I get for it if I want to shoot standard black and white photos?
120 format film, Fomapan is a good brand to start with.
