    FREDS PASS RURAL MARKETS
    Day: Saturdays (All Year)
    Time: 8.00am - 1.00pm
The Freds Pass Rural Markets are held every Saturday in the Multi-Purpose Hall at Freds Pass Sport and Recreation Reserve. Starting from 8am, the markets have an average 70 stalls, with many permanent and some casual. Some new stalls to look out for include freshly squeezed traditional lemonade and hot buttered corn.
You’ll be spoilt for choice with hand crafted wooden toys, fishing supplies, macramé hangers, fashion, Aboriginal art, jewellery, poultry, birds, plants and much much more. Whilst doing the shopping grab a book, have a massage, get your future read or just relax at the tables and chairs whilst enjoying a snack from the impressive range of food and drink stalls whilst listening to a local musician. Don’t forget to check out the fresh fruit and vegetables before you go home. The children can be entertained with a jumping castle and toy stalls.
Freds Pass Rural Markets operates all year offering plenty of parking with ample room for caravans, campervans and trailers and has a designated disabled parking area.
    DARWIN
Darwin (Larrakia: Garramilla) is the capital city of the Northern Territory, Australia. The city has nearly 53% of the Northern Territory's population, with 139,902 at the 2021 census. It is the smallest, wettest, and most northerly of the Australian capital cities and serves as the Top End's regional centre.
Darwin's proximity to Southeast Asia makes it a key link between Australia and countries such as Indonesia and Timor-Leste. The Stuart Highway begins in Darwin and extends southerly across central Australia through Tennant Creek and Alice Springs, concluding in Port Augusta, South Australia. The city is built upon a low bluff overlooking Darwin Harbour. Darwin's suburbs begin at Lee Point in the north and stretch to Berrimah in the east. The Stuart Highway extends to Darwin's eastern satellite city of Palmerston and its suburbs.
The Darwin region, like much of the Top End, has a tropical climate, with a wet and dry season. A period known locally as "the build up" leading up to Darwin's wet season sees temperature and humidity increase. Darwin's wet season typically arrives in late November to early December and brings with it heavy monsoonal downpours, spectacular lightning displays, and increased cyclone activity. During the dry season, the city has clear skies and mild sea breezes from the harbour.
