Trail-Targeted Performance 💪
In a world where bigger is often considered better, the Spectral refocuses itself within the trail category. By reworking the kinematics and reducing travel by 10mm, a 150mm front and 140mm rear setup is achieved, enhancing efficiency without sacrificing capability. This 'just right' setup ensures it excels on climbs without draining energy and descends with unwavering confidence.
Rider-First Options 🚴
Riders now enjoy more choices with 29er or mullet options available on all models in the new Spectral CF lineup (excluding the USA, where only 29er options are available). Additionally, the new chainstay flip chip allows riders to easily swap their setup later.
Refined Engineering 🛠️
Building on the success of the award-winning outgoing Spectral CF, the latest version has refined the new chassis from the chainstay to the headtube, creating a class-leading trail bike. Slimmed-down chainstays at the back provide more compliance and composure in rough terrain, while an ultra-sleek one-piece rocker enhances the connection between both ends of the chassis.
Stash and Store 🎒
Integrated into the new CF frame are innovative internal and external storage solutions. The internal downtube storage features a fiddle-free, super-secure knee-lever mechanism for easy access. External storage mounts under the top tube offer space for additional spares or gear that you want readily accessible.
Complementary Control 👍
Standard on all models is Canyon’s innovative Keep It Stable (K.I.S.) steering stabilizer (invented by Jo Klieber, Syntace). This technology actively brings your bars back to the center as you ride, improving steering and control. Bikes also come with an easy-to-install blanking plate for riders who prefer standard steering.

i got the 29, wish i got the 27.5. nothing wrong with the 29 but for my height, 27.5 is better.
How tall are you? Canyon puts me at a small, but I usually ride a Medium.

Why is the bike a kilo or more heavier than the previous model? I was interested but this makes me consider my options.
CF7 14.64kg -> 15.36kg
CF8 14.28kg -> 15.84kg
CF9 13.60kg -> 14.94kg
Less travel, more weight.
Fair question on the bike weights. There’s a few things to consider here:
Frame weights- We were stoked to keep the frame weight within 20-30g of the last Spectral (which was a light trail chassis!) while managing to include all the new features like storage and wheel size adjust.
Specs- comparing to last year’s models is not always an apples-to-apples comparison- for example, the new CF 8 CLLCTV is a heavier-duty build than last year’s CF 8 with tougher wheels, a coil shock, and some more affordable SLX components. The CF 9 rolls on aluminium rims, not carbon this year, among some other differences like aluminium cranks.
Other updates- some small changes elsewhere on the new bike also impact weight- like wider 34.9 droppers with more travel, better stiffness and durability add some grams. Also, the KIS system adds a marginal amount of weight as well (approx 110g).
Don’t get us wrong- going heavier is not always better, but going lighter also can have drawbacks when it comes to durability, cost, and user-friendliness on an all round trail ripper like the Spectral.
The latest Spectral is just as efficient, playful and agile as the last bike on the trail- but with some nice improvements to make it ride better for longer, right out of the box.
Thats what I think. The weight is very close to the strive, and the strive has the shapeshifter and climbs pretty good (I have it).
Bought one. Love it! Sam Pilgrim sold me on this.

I don't understand why your engineer made this soooo long. What's your sizing strategy? Previous gen size M's geo seems to be the sweet point.
Why they stopped producing bikes with size 27.5 inch wheels, that will never be clear to me. Well, not all of us are 1.8 m or 2 m tall to ride l or xl shoulder bikes 🤷.
means I spent over 10k EUR on Canyon bikes and equipment in the last two or three years and I can no longer buy bikes with 27.5 inch wheels not a single model terrible thing now I regret that I bought all those bikes and all that equipment from Canyon because Canyon don't care at all about people who ride shoulder size S or M and their opinion that the customer chooses what size wheels he wants with which bike frame.

Same for the new rocker, is it compatible with the old spectral ?

Im super excited for this bike it sounds perfect for me.
However, the american said it feels no less capable than the old Spectral yet the engineer says you cant expect to see it on any Enduro stages.
That's a contradiction, so which one one is it?
I would say that the old model from 2022 is 95% the same. There's not much difference really, the riding experience is almost identical. The biggest difference is the geometry switch that allows ypu try out mullet wheel setup (29 front/27.5 rear). Get a good used one, from last year or 2022, that's my opinion
@@BatkoBrat it doesn't make sense that you're saying the riding experience is almost identical. When Guy Kesteven said it feels a lot more lively than the older one that he described as dull even though it was extremely capable. He loves the character of the new bike.

It would not be smart on their side, to tell you that the new model is pretty much the same as the old one. But I guess, a lot of people fall for that stuff, not just in bike industry, but car industry as well, etc. Sure, go and spend 5000 for the new one, for all I care.

The new Spectral's reworked kinematics are centred around 140mm of rear travel, 10mm less than before, creating an even more agile, playful feeling trail bike, without losing the big hit capability and composure we loved about the previous gen Spectral. The 150mm fork matches the new setup perfectly for all-round trail performance.

@@Rockytherottweiller Several models are available: Torque AL 7 is in stock in all colours and all sizes apart from S (due late June). Torque DH is in stock in all sizes. The AL 5 and Park 6 only have larger sizes, and we won’t see stock until Fall 2024. Cheers
