How to play flamenco rumba Start slow and practice consistently. Follow for more tips. Paul Davis, Lucas Imbiriba and Marcin Patrzalek follow this strategy and use the tips in tutorials.
@ñ proper flamenco can definitely hurt for beginners, especially since hard and very hard tension strings are preferred. Of course, a beginner will not start with these strings, and technique is developed over time. But if you want to get that sound on day one, it's definitely going to hurt. I learned to play first classical and then electric and acoustic and in my experience, depending on the technique used, nylon strings can be much more difficult and more painful to get used to.
@@as7river you are talking to a person who play the guitar since 13... If you use your nails It doesnt hurt, if It does you are doing It wrong (or were doing It wrong when you were a beginner)
@@as7river So you're saying nylon strings hurt more than the bronze coated steel on an acoustic? That kinda makes most people question your credibility. In the real world, if we are to categorise by softness, it's always Acoustic steel < Electric < Nylon (unless your nylon is so tight that it's not a guitar but a longbow).
@@user-ks3ui2pg6h Yes exactly with proper technique and angles you can play rumba (even rasguedo) on an acoustic steel string guitar as well. You don't even need long nails, just learning by playing it slowly and building momentum as you progressively get better sound is enough. It's mostly about the angle at which you attack the strings. Ik one guy who doesn't even use his nails, he plays with his knuckles (the ones above the fingernails).
I made a full video with the Top 3 Tips to improve your playing, it’s on my chanel👍 th-cam.com/video/HowjMaeYAug/w-d-xo.html Overall just be patient and never give up!
I'm 11or 12 idont know and learning guitar and this guy always gives me inspiration for learning more and more guitar except rumba is out of my league 😅😅
Show the chords....
1st: A minor on 5th fret,
2nd: G major on 3rd fret,
3rd: F major on 1st fret,
4th; classic E major
This sequence is also called Andalusian cadence.
Dude... It's not a video about a melod but about a technical rythm which is the rumba. And be polite when you ask for chords
@@valvil2942well said
It’s a video about the technique, make up your own chords.
If you gotta ask...
Nevermind, good luck on your playing. Look up theory.
Instructions unclear, my fingers have fallen off!
Thats totally normal.
@@DiegoelAlejandroit also happened to me it might be because I have a steel string guitar
Bro this is classic guitar with nylon string which doesnt hurt ... Dont ever try to do on normal guitar as it has metal strings 💀
Or how i like to call it, "show me how it feels to put your fingers through a cheesegrater without putting your hand through a cheesegrater"
It doesnt hurt, this is a spanish guitar, the strings under G string are nylon and you use the nails

bro's hand is faster than Usain Bolt
It's actually pretty easy if you practice flamenco regularly
Yeah it’s not that fast, go watch some thrash metal or crossover thrash guitarists.
@@Enfield15 We talk about music, not frightening noises And screams 😂
It's faster than light .
@@rickhuntraslam2925metal is music! You clearly have never listen to metal before.
As a definitely-not-flamenco-player it always sounds so cool. I love the sound of flamenco even tho I could never play it lol 😂
Try slap up then down and up with thumb its easy

Very nice to hear! Keep going, one day you will get there. I started to take the guitar seriously at about 12 years old and I’m 18 now…
Me too I got a guitar when I was 8 but I didn't take it seriously and now I regret that I should have taken it seriously
@@dilj1439 just start to take it seriously now…
