I’m going to need a firm and detailed explanation on how Lindy Ruff was bad for the devils. He coached them to the best record in franchise history. If you can’t credit that to him, what’s the point of coaches then?
I'm honestly worried Buffalo IRL is in the same situation that the Oilers were pre-McDavid: a lotta young talent that just doesn't click for whatever reason. Not only is that bad for the organization, it's bad for the confidence and development of all those good, young players. Hopefully they can turn it around as fast as SOTI did...

I don’t understand how that equates to ignorance of how a cup window works.
Ruff got fired b.c he lost both starting goalies, top center and defenseman. I think if they had brought in a better goalie he wouldn't have been fired. Lindy ruff is an amazing coach.

Finally caught my first game of the season tonight... Powerplay is still abysmal, but the penalty kill is amazing. They had a good 60 seconds on the Powerplay in the 2nd period where they actually used the bumper instead of cycling constantly, idk what happened after that tho... The team just seems like an NBA All-Star team, where it's a bunch of guys getting their own however they can (except for the younger/newer guys to the team)
