is there a non destructable workflow, where you can still move the edges of the low poly version while a copy of the high poly subd version moves along?
pressing and holding down "ctrl and shift" then you can select edges and pressing and holding down "ctrl" key and using scale gumball then it will be extruded!
@@LameRhino3D Hi there! Many thanks on your answer. However, when try it myself, I managed to select the exact edge but when I held "ctrl" and dragged the gumball, it turned out that the position of the gumball moved but the edge wasn't extruded. Could you help me? Thanks a lot!
@@bassantadel8608 Hi! I haven't figured it out yet. However, I guess it might be the difference in the version of Rhino? In the video it's Rhino 7, mine is 6.0 and what about yours?
If they could make this compatible to revit massing, it would be awesome. It needs to have a mode where you can only work with only vertex or edge or face, its difficult to select items.
It's a nice feature for Rhino but you could probably do this much faster with a modeling app like Blender 2.8 (free) while using modifiers, which means less destructive workflow. That's the problem with Rhino, it has a total destructive workflow.
wow, thank you for showing me how to model volumetrically in rhino, I can now pass my architecture studio
Can't believe you didn't show how you fixed that filleting issue :(
That’s a beautiful geometry

In the beginning, you selected two edges and extruded them equally. How did you do that?

Also there is a little dot on the movement arrows from the gumball

Yes...unless you use Grasshopper ;)
Use the inbuilt Grasshopper visual programming environment.
There are plenty of non-destructive workflows for Rhino using Grasshopper.
No credits for the original geometry? / sculpture ? Artist ?
