  • Doesn't matter what motorcycle you own whether it's an XS650 Yamaha, Honda CB 750, an old Triumph or an old Harley this series will explore " The Making of a Bobber. So, follow along and maybe you'll have fun learning some new. The birth of this little 1975 CB360 into a bobber will be fun.

    I would have added a leakdown test as well, which would have exposed the bad rings before you pulled the engine apart, and probably would have exposed any valve keakage as well. If you had found the bad rings but not leakage from the valves, you may have opted to leave the head alone. However, either way, the engine was coming apart, so as long as it's apart, any smart mechanic would do the valve job (thorough cleaning, valve seals and lapping) as well as the hone and re-ring. Those little motors need all the help they can get!
