  • The Masterless Men are an amazing band from Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. They sing Irish Newfoundland music and I would have to say are my favourite in that genre. If you haven't heard them before, take a listen as I'm sure you'll enjoy them as much as I do. And if you been fortunate enough to be familiar with their music, enjoy again!!

Masterless Men are my favorite Irish/Newfoundland folk music group. Their music is so haunting and beautifully sung. With every chord, they sing me back home to my native Newfoundland & Labrador 💚🍀

A fine group. I discovered their music 9 years ago on a trip to Newfoundland. I ended up listening to their songs over and over while putting 2,000 miles on the car in about 10 days. You're right, they are unpretentious, but very talented.

There's neither friend nor foe o' mine,

Padraig, U will have to come to Nfld to hear them. As far as I know they rarely go outside the province. Lead singer John Curran visited Ireland the first time about 3 yrs ago on a holiday. He recently suffered a heart attack but is recovering well.

Padraig, In Nfld there is a legend of a band of Irishmen who escaped from the British by going into the Butterpot Mountains of Nfld. They were called the Masterless Men. John Curran and his musicians took that name for their band. I love their version of Sean South of Garryowen

@@benmorris7276 you can definitely add "The Southern Shore" for sure, as these people did attain their unique Dialects for hundreds of years and also some slang saying, and words that is still used in Nfld, are not found ANYWHERE in the world ,but nfld Specific only.
