  • ***CORRECTION: John makes a mistake about refrigeration temperature saying "30 degrees" but this is incorrect. On the Walmart website it is 30 degrees above room temperature so in other words, it keeps drinks cool.
    Check it out at Walmart: goto.walmart.c...

    Interesting. Had a similar cooler years ago but it had an external power supply that was HUGE. Easily 30% the size of the actual cooler and it got pretty hot. Hot enough over time the ventilated plastic cover got brittle and cracked. Must be using some form of switch-mode power supply vs the old transformer and rectifier now.

      @DarkWater4Eva 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@phantomjosh2148 so far so good. Upon using it for the first time and loading it with 4 bottles of water it took a while to finally get chilled. But when they are chilled they feel slightly warmer than a water bottle taken from a refrigerator. They are still nice and chilly though. It appears the "back wall" of the device is the "chilling element." So as the bottles are touching each other the chill is transmitted through them all starting from the "back wall." So I always make sure at least 3 or 4 bottles are always in there so I know they continue the transferring of chill among one another.....if that makes sense. Compared to a refrigerator that actually blows cold air onto the items inside it.

    • @bbos3447
      @bbos3447 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Condensation will always form there like when you have a glass of ice water the outside of the cup will have condensation on it. Only way to stop it is to remove all humidity from wherever you have it. Just wipe it down from time to time.

    • @bbos3447
      @bbos3447 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Shizaya4ever if ice is forming then you simply have to defrost it by turning it off till the ice melts. Regular large refrigerators have an auto defrost mode. Most small refrigerators do not have this and you have to manually defrost them when the frost builds up. Only way to lessen it is to limit how often you open the door. It’s just a chore that needs to be done to keep the unit working properly. Having lots of ice built up will reduce the cooling ability of the unit.
