I've said it before on here I'm disabled so I'm on a very tight fixed income. But I've always been an Xbox guy so seeing the S when they came out I was so excited. But I've had a Playstation before so they both great but I still love Xbox.
Me as well, Series S has allowed me to play new games on a very tight fixed income. I'd still be on last gen otherwise.

Updates are bs, my sries x is sitting in puic storage and i played it 5 times. I do most gaming on my phone,but really busy working,not much time for games. The updates are nearly evertime you start the console,waste of time and harddrive space.

I love my XSX. It’s a better all around console than the PS5, it’s more powerful, had 1440p at launch, Dolby Vision at launch, VRR at launch and VRR with 120hz support (which PS5 still doesn’t have)

I have both and both my PS5 and my Xbox Series have 120 hz support it had 120 hz at launch, yes the VRR and the 1440p were added later, and it still does not have dolby vision but I use HDR 10 but I agree PS should add Dolby vision I like both systems and I play them both.
Yeah I bought a 54”😂 with all the freakin buttons and whistles for gaming. Same as you. Not as clear as 32 but nothing like having war life size in your room. 😂
NO the Fallout show does NOT interfere or retcon ANY previously established Fallout lore or timeline. And folks that claim this either don't know Fallout as well as they think or simply have their heads inserted up their butts.

I can agree with the price thing 100%. To get your pc to the same strength of your xbox series X is not going to be $500. Even the game prices I think that $10 price rise was turn off for gaming altogether. If these systems are going to cost you half a grand the games shouldn't be but so expensive.
If going from $60 to $70 dollars is expensive to you I suggest getting your life together, there’s always been price increases. When we went from PS2 and Xbox to PS3 to 360 games went from $49.99 to 59.99 wasn’t a word said back then
I'm not saying what we have now is too much I'm just saying I wouldn't want the jump if there is one to go past $10. Would you want to pay lets say $100 a game? Also I don't think game consoles should go all digital in the future because that would mean if you don't the internet you don't have your games even if you purchased it.
Not to mention u can get a Series X for way less then $500 now…my buddy got his right after Black Friday like 2 weeks before last Xmas from Walmart and it was $375 for the D4 bundle one
Once they hit $100 i might have some major issues. $60-$70 providing its a good game and available on Gamepass for a time. I won't complain to much just yet.
But if you want to get all launch content you'll have to buy the "giga ween blaster 9000" edition for $100-$130

They should add a tracker on the next console, so that you can move with your controller like a cursor (like the LG remote on the OLED tv's).
This could be useful for navigation and for example looking around in the cockpit of planes or cars in Forza
Like a gyroscope? If do, that would be cool, especially for more precise aim in fps games!
PlayStation has had this since the PS3 and it's rarely used, even in their own games. It'd be great if it became more standard.

I'm thinking portable option with difference screen size so you can play anywhere. With more portable units available with crossplay support. Hopefully get more players in 120 fps games.
Haven't played xbox since I sold my xbox 1. I recently brought a gaming laptop and tried to access my gaming library on pc but most of my games would not show like gta 5 and mafia 3.
More good game adaptations movies/shows are a yes for me as long as they are doing it right

Honestly i feel like a console from €/$500 up to €/$800 with the performance of a €/$1000 pc is quite a good deal.
Though a possible handheld system i feel like should cost about €/$250 to €/$350 but also with the performance of a €/$500 system like the steamdeck.
Or perhaps multiple levels of handheld/console models with big option differences so people can choose between a ultra high end handheld with a cheap console or vice versa or full high or low end systems to your liking.

@@YoMLVN you sign up for gamepass and then use the app on your phone... some games have touch controllers but I personally hate them so I bring a normal controller and bluetooth it instead. Works perfectly for me on my breaks at work.

I am all for the new Xbox Handheld PC variant. But I think that I would be better off getting an already made Handheld PC like a ROG instead because I don’t want to pay for a Xbox live subscription just to play Online Multiplayer. I already pay for my WiFi, now I have to pay for my Online Subscription just to be able to enjoy my already payed for WiFi?
Any gaming rig is only as good as it gets with the available Internet connection.
I used to take my gaming PC back to my family's place but gave up sometime ago because I can barely run a game there.
They've got UFB but because the main modem is too far from my room and there's too many streaming users in the same place, my connection just kept dropping
and it takes forever to download anything.
I'm guessing one reason why Halo didn't drive sales was it was on Paramount+, which is insular and generally unavailable globally. For the other mentioned IPs, Witcher, Edgerunners and Fallout, are on Netflix an Amazon, which are available globally.
It didn’t drive sales because it wasn’t faithful to Halo. Paramount+ is available in countries where Halo has its largest fan bases, the show is just bad. Chief has no business taking his helmet off and focusing on getting women 🤣
Also the paramount app is crap freezes constantly or crashes. But Netflix amazon and max work fine.

I really love fallout 76. I’ve been been playing it since day one but they really need to add more story content like waste landers in the brotherhood quest line with actual npc to talk to that was the best quest line they ever added to the game. I haven’t done all the stuff in Atlantic City yet all the new quest to get the new armor yet I started it and it is pretty fun. I started another character so I could do the wasteland story again, so I could get the achievement where you take all the goal for yourself
They should make it more streamer friendly

I would like if they would try to make an Xbox work like a PC I got a steam deck and I just learned how to do mods for state of decay 2 but I haven’t figured out how to run those on the steam deck yet because the mods are made for windows and the steam deck runs Lennox so I can mod the game on my other computer that isn’t made for gaming. It’s all in one desktop, but it does run windows, even though the game doesn’t really work on that computer very well, but it runs perfectly on the steam deck, but I can’t figure out how to download the Messenger and get it to work
You can do mods the exact same way on steamdeck as on PC, you just have to switch to desktop mode. If you want to use a mod organizer like Vortex, you just have to install it through lutris and do a couple other things. Just do a search, plenty of guides on YT for modding on steam deck.
My Xbox PC also plays playstion games. I feel like a retired Master Chief waiting on redeployment. Come on Hell Divers 2. I want to Re-Finish the fight on steam. 😂

if I can play xbox gamepass on different devices via cloud this would interest me so much. I don't get any chance to play on the xbox as my kids have taken it over and I cannot afford to buy another console and probably would not want a large xbox taking it around my house.

For DECADES studios have attempted to make a successful live action adaptation of a video game.
While watching this video and seeing how certain shows got people interested in the games I figured studios should include video games alongside toy sales.
For example, shows like Static Shock and Teen Titans ended or were canceled at some point because of the lack of toys sales.
Maybe video game sales is what could help shows like the two mentioned from being canceled.
Tldr: tv shows either live action or animation should be coordinated around video games instead of being dependent on TOY SALES.
Edit) Video games earn more than the movies and music industry COMBINED.
Clearly any studio still dependent on toy sales is in it for that quick buck/cash grab.

I feel like the expression "Less is more" making sense here. If Microsoft next console doesn't compete with itself like having a watered down version for the cheaper option. Instead using GamePass with it's cloud gaming to make all phones an Xbox handled system. Microsoft has been a Software powerhouse for years taking advantage of this seems more logical to me.
Unless they they start making Xbox consoles completely modular and upgradable then it's not going to work very well
I am thinking that is what they are going to be doing for next gen along with bringing pc gaming to xbox

I have PS5 and Xbox series X. Most of my friends have PS5 so i play online there mostly unless the game is cross play. Xbox cloud gaming is top notch at least for me... I usually switch back and forth between my 65 inch and my iPad without a hitch. I said switch and almost forgot about my Nintendo cause I hardly use it

Cyberpunk is locked on 30fps for 4K gameplay. You can throw as much power as you want at it, it’ll still perform like crap.
@Bruteforcedj what are you on about mate? There are 13 different graphics cards that can run Cyberpunk at 4k over 30fps on Ultra settings(which is, as with all games, well beyond the point of diminishing returns) bump it down to high with negligible noticeable difference visually and most of those 13 cards will be around 60 or above for 4090/4080/7900xtx. Cyberpunk may be the most visually complex, detailed, and expansive game ever made to this point, so this really shouldn't be a surprise. It has become the showcase game for Nvidia, so it makes sense that they push the game to the absolute limit of their available cards.

@@LCJammer PCs are so inefficient having to compile shaders and having so much variety. All of these PC gamers spend all of that $ for the sake of running their games better. You don't need much power to do online banking or look at TH-cam. Having a few very powerful console variants would be much better for gaming, rather than literally thousands of combinations of PCs.
I'm old enough to remember when PC wasn't always the most powerful thing, that was custom arcade hardware. (1980's into mid 90's) The most efficient thing would be for people to keep an old laptop or POS PC around for "work", then have powerful game consoles to game on. These consoles could play existing PC games but also games that are made just for them. People are too short sighted to let this happen though.

We are probably heading in this direction. Xbox basically becoming like a Steam Deck (having a console and handheld form) and them significantly fixing Windows that it can present a very console like experience. They can then have a 1000 dollar "console" that is really a PC with full access to windows, but then subsidize it via Gamepass. So if you buy gamepass for 2 years maybe it is a 700 dollar console or something.
The biggest technical leap for Xbox is going to be from 4k too 8k
Pointless. 8k is for like 100" tv's or if you want to zoom in on a face in a scene of everyone in the stadium. But otherwise, doesnt do anything for gaming.

As an FPS gamer I prefer the PS4 controller and wish I could actually use it on my Xbox and with a headset. I hope they take FPS players into consideration because I just can’t get used to the Xbox controllers.

@@RangerZero45 yeah that’s a part of it for sure but it’s the thumbstick modules for me. With PlayStation they say it’s 70g of stick tension but with the thumbsticks they have themselves they seem to just snap back into place and feel way more reactive to what I’m doing with my thumb. The Xbox sticks feel like they’re going everywhere and not where I want which is partially due to their stick tension of 55g. If I could find someone to solder or learn how to I would replace the Xbox stick modules with the ps4 modules in a heartbeat.
6 hour battery life on the PS controllers is a non-starter for me
