Ian and Nina in season 6 kissed every time like it’s their last you can see the sadness in their eyes in each scene knowing that it’s the last time nina and him will spend every day on set together.
I feel like Ian and Nikki rushed things because Ian was upset with Nina when she wasn’t ready to be married. Nian were together for 3-4 years and Nikki and Ian were only together for 6 months. [Edit + Adds ~ I also feel like Ian only married Nikki to feel better when Nina wasn’t ready and I know they are meant to be together. Someway and somehow they will end up together again because Ian and Nina are the definition of True love. I don’t care if Nikki and Ian had kids together, I will ship Nian always and Forever.]
I think one of the huge reasons delena began after she was turned, was because she got back all those memories. Sire bond or not, she was always on the verge of loving damon or admitting her feelings for damon, and getting those memories back just pushed her over the edge with it.
She loved Damon, but she couldn't admit it due to her loyalty to Stefan and her fear of it consuming her. She acted around Damon based on guilty conscience, before the sire bond arc

I consider 1x22 a half Delena kiss. You can see the love in Elena's eyes in 3x10, it's that consuming. She didn't want him to kiss her again because she knew she wouldn't be able to resist him, which is certainly the case in 3x19. She's not strong enough to fight her feelings. I consider their kiss in 3x19 a metaphoric death. Stefan's girlfriend died in Damon's arms. They solidify this death in 3x22. Her drowning ties in their first soundtrack, Never Let Me Go by Florence + the Machine. Alaric/Elena dying in Damon's arms ties in their second soundtrack, When the Light Dies Out by Christel Alsos. The sire bond won't let them slip away from each other, so what you get is their second 3x19 soundtrack pulling in a parallel to their 4x4 soundtrack at the monster party.
