Indeed, seems very close But Isn’t hiza approaches from the top of the knee? (Knee joint) Love the set up which can seem to hint the other direction (osoto) for opponent reaction
Yes, mechanically this is a hiza. There is no lifting pulling action; rather uke is being pulled around. The point of contact of toris foot and ukes leg is actually incidental because the pulling te waza has primacy
That way that you describe is the correct form. Have a look at the Nage no Kata. It is wrong in the video (he's using the wrong kumi kata), although it might be easier or more effective in shiai or randori.
You are pulling uke to the lapel side as opposed to the 'sleeve side', and you are applying the 'foot block' right under the KNEE as in hiza guruma, and not just above the foot, as it's supposed to! Finally you are pulling uke "horizontally" as you would do in hiza guruma, and not "upward" as is customary in sasae.
Isnt this Hiza Garuma? Sasae is usaully on the shin or ankle.
Nice videos, please consider lowering the volume (or even removing) of the background music so we can here the instruction. Thanks!
Sasae involves the ankle...it's in the name!
This is very close to Hiza-Guruma this way, isn't it?
I think so too

@@AceInose yeah, hiza guruma is applied in the knee's height and is usually used to block the back leg.

@@ldzman218 dont you mean a guruma technique? Hiza just means knee. The wheel motion of the hands is the guruma.
Odd request: but could you show us how you tie your belt? I’ve always been amazed at the way you tie your belt.
I needed this for my orange belt test coming up! Thank you sir.
Thank you
This is gold! A lot of lessons on TH-cam already, yet I see something new and insightful from it😌🙏🏻
Great tutorial, but he ocasionally executes a hiza guruma, rather than a sasae tsuri komi ashi, in my opinion.
thanks sir, i really love ashi waza but i struggle with this one.. thanks for the video from Belgium
So good.
Beautiful !
You make the best videos for all who want to learn.... 💜
Yesterday I passed my yellow belt exam. I used your videos a lot to practice outside the dojo. Thank you!!
The uchikomi of this makes it look like I’ll accidentally finish the throw.
Thank you Sir.
Thanks a lot for a great tutorial. Yhis is my favorite throw. I hurt my rib muscle once by doing this, though.
Thankyou. Perfect and articulate description of physics! Maths. Id like to try and Lear to be fluid with that throw kk j
Wait for them to take a step back pressuring back into you.
Another great video.
Love it
Domu aregato, Sensei👊👊👊
Thank you Nakano sensei!
Excelente 👏👏👏
I always did it by pulling by the arm, also using my leg that is in front of the pulled arm. Is that correct?

That was very useful sensei
Saw Islam Makachev use a no gi version of this in a UFC fight. 👍
Parece mas bien un HIZA GURUMA , que un Sasae Tsurikomi ashi. El pie de toki esta casi tocando la rodilla de uke.
Thanks for your comment!
wow the throw sounds like gunshots
Thanks for your comment and support!
👏👏👏
My coach told me sasae was not a low Hiza but this video has me doubting
Thanks for your comment!
Very close to technique opponent process way
Piękne
Thank you very much👍
my teacher and master at the same time was Jarosław Mroczko from Poland. Currently 6th Dan. Judo, my great love!
This is not a sasae tsurikomi ashi instead is hiza guruma.
Thanks for your comment!
don't be fooled, sasae is on the instep of the foot, it is doing hiza guruma
=0). Hidza-guruma
💪💪💪☝️☝️☝️👍👍👍
That’s a hiza

Hiza guruma, not sasae.
