I used to sing this to my cat I had since I was 9, this was our song. She would sometimes meow as I was singing and I made this our sing because I was singing it when she came running into my room, anytime I would sing this it was like I summoned her haha. She died February 12th 2020 when I was 13 years old. We had to put her down from a really bad sickness. I remember screaming and crying at the veterinarian saying it was better for her to spend her last days with me, but looking back, I'm glad we put her down as it was better to put her out of her misery, no matter how much I miss her. I used to always be told I was a great singer but after precious dying I stopped singing for a long time. I just recently got back into it, I only do it for her. I can't listen to this song without crying my heart out, as well as the first Noel as she always loved that song. I miss her so much. When it says "And when you're weak I'll be strong, I'm gonna keep holding on, now don't you worry it won't be long, when you feel like hope is gone, just run into my arms" I think of her in pain in that vet office, I was thinking about how weak she was then, I'm glass I stayed strong through that though, barely, but I somehow still held on. I had very suicidal thoughts after she died but I never gave in thankfully, I thought hope was gone many many times, precious was my only friend. I didn't make any other friends til a year later, in 8th grade. I made an amazing friend group that I'm still friends with to this day. They've helped me through everything. I still wish I could hold my baby once more though. I miss her so much. Stay safe, sorry for the long comment. I hope my little precious is watching me from above. I still feel like I see her out of the corner of my eyes all the time. And I hear random unexplainable noises, I believe she still visits me sometimes. Like when i get that random warmth out of no where, that's her cuddling with me, when I see her next to me out of the corner of my eye but I look and nothings there, that's her reassuring me that she's gone, but she loves me. When I hear a noise and something that's stayed still for what feels like forever falls, thats her reminding me of her, I even sometimes hear her meow, which is her telling me she loves me. Recently she sent me two beautiful kittens who showed up in my yard, I believe it was her, bringing me love, we named them peach and mario, they do a lot of the things she used to do. I love them with all my heart, I pray nothing will happen to them. I have a little toy of precious' that I still sleep with every night. Anyways, love you precious, I hope your having the time of your life in heaven, and getting the life you deserve. I'm sorry I couldn't help you, I don't know how long you were in misery, but I hope it wasn't long, I hope I made your last few days worth it. I love you my baby
