In my area, I have found that shopping for clothes on clearance and off season is way cheaper than the local thrift and consignment shops that have really gotten expensive. I’ve saved a lot of money this way.
Yes! January, July and October are typically the best months for sales, when they’re clearing out the seasonal items. I found some pants for my kids from old navy for $1.50!
I do the same thing! I buy new clothes but crazy discounts and sales and it saves me from going thru piles and piles at thrift stores. Also I do it online. I genuinely despise spending time scouring thru aisles anywhere
Same here!! I am always go by the clearance kids section any time I’m at Target or JC Penny in case there’s anything there that’s on my mental list. Walmart clothes are a rip off and terrible quality.
Your discipline dedication to serving your family and kids is so inspiring. I got a revelation from the Lord this morning and truly have been blessed to share with a mom friend today, I said “the Lord will bless you (whether it be provision, strength, or peace in the unknown) when you make sacrifices out of obedience to conviction when you bless your family”
I have used a few excellent basic phonics programs to teach our children to read; however Elemental Phonics has been such an amazing addition for the younger children just learning to read. The words are written much larger and each page is simply the perfect amount of practice for little ones.
Thank you. I need your dedication in my life. Unfortunately, I have to look for work because right now on my husband's income we barely cover the bills with nothing leftover 😔. So it's going to be a tough year for me having to work plus homeschool my kids. The plus is we'll be working on paying off debt and a better future.
@@karimerecias383It does 😩. Even my local homeschool group has seen an increase in working homeschool moms. We've been learning from the single moms who manage work and homeschooling. Very difficult but it's a work of passion and dedication for sure.
The Lord move in mysterious ways to perform His wonders. I encourage you to talk God about the the season you are in, where he is leading or what He wants you to do. Always remember that God loves you.
Sounds like our family! We also decided to sell our home and live tiny while saving money so we can be mortgage free. I feel like a lot of parents want to make sure their children are "taken care of" by purchasing the latest greatest things for them. But Time is the most valuable asset to give to our children and if your home is full of clutter you're gonna spend your time cleaning, if you are purchasing the newest clothing/toys, you're going to be working more hours which again pulls your time away. Thanks for sharing all of these!
We have the same style of living. We feed our kids organic food and they can only have cakes and other sweets treats when we attend birthday parties or other occasions. We make as well our own distilled water. We're living very simple and the kids are happy and appreciative 😊
Great video. This is why my house is filled with stuff! You are so special, thank you for sharing your philosophy on household items with us. Could you do a video on gift giving? Especially for holidays like Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, and ideas to give grandparents on those days. Are those days that you celebrate? How do you give gifts that do not clutter the home and help to save money?
You mentioned how you coslept with your babies, then a side bed, then room with siblings. Can you make a video detailing more about how to transition cosleeping babies to their own crib?
I used to buy at the thrift store until one day i bought a specif blazer and right away I got an anxiety attack and felt like something was choking me. From there I stopped shopping at the thrift store. Now i just buy on shein or dds discount and still save money.
Thank you for saying you don't do subscription boxes. Kiwico boxes were the hype and just for the general one income family 4 kids family it got expensive quickly. Hope your well Jady!
We do experience or fun activities for birthdays. We also do our own photos at home. I have a hard time finding clothes for my family at thrift stores that is actually affordable.
I love this! Most of these things we already do (or don't do) too and I thought we were maybe a little weird. Though, we do have birthday parties bc grandparents want it, but we keep it cheap. I bake the cake (I do cupcakes). Oh, and the paper towels and napkins (Ahhh, it's just so convenient). I also buy laundry detergent but never bought fabric softeners. We also don't eat out...ever. no jewelry, limited make-up, no new clothes (even for myself), Family photos are with our canon camera timer in front of our Christmas tree. Funny, we started making our own bread too in the past year, haven't bought a loaf bc homemade is far superior! we do banana "nice cream" ...just frozen bananas, a little milk, in a high powered blender and that's our ice cream. When the kids get a little older, I'd love to make real ice cream. so inspiring...thank you for some new ideas!
I agree on the toys. I dont agree on shopping at the thrift store for clothes. I do accept hand me downs from anyone though. I do love throwing birthday parties for my kids if they want it. I also love giving them experience. I agree on not buying baked goods and soft drinks. No water bottles. Im gonna try not buying napkins😊 I wish I had a place to store my holiday decor. I DEFINITELY BUY YOUR ELEMENTAL PHONICS BOOKS JADY. I also make my own multipurpose cleaner. Thank you Jady for being my inspiration on this homeschool mama journey.
A lot of things have come off our home shopping list as well for a while now, I think when you are full time home it's very much doable and thank God for that grace. I need to find that jojoba oil now, feel like we been buying a lot of body lotions as the girls grow😊. Lovely content ❤
I loved this, very very similar to our family also, we are a Muslim family of 6, and yes if you can expand on the concealer how is it exactly you're using that so you don't need a powder after, you are just blending it in? and it looks even enough. Other than that, perfect, you guys are wonderful. I thank God for knowing you, and we thank God for our lives, peace, and love. The best to us all.🤲🏽🙏🏽💖🌷🙏🏽🤲🏽
Yes please Jady share which Jojoba oil you buy in bulk!? I have stopped using lotion but have yet to find something that works for our family and is affordable.
Thrift shop ❤ love it We don’t celebrate holiday anymore but my sons have a game boy but they play the same game Baby gear amen 🙏🏾 same That’s so cool no birthday things amen I call it born day and experience is better ❤I love this channel , eek I fail at pre packaged snacks. ( can you show us your meals ) we do bak zucchini bread, cookies cakes . Apple juice that’s all we buy and water. We loge the five gallon water and we thrift shop for towels we cut them up as rags and stuff like that. Yeah we don’t buy junk lol decor is the kids painting and coloring art and family photos 😂 love this Channel
Oh my. Literally same for our family. We keep it simple in our house. Except birthday celebration. We do buy balloons & cakes, that's all. Thanks for sharing Jade.
We don't buy many of these either. I think of how much we save buying all our clothes, toys, kitchen items etc from thrift stores and garage sales. I bought your first elemental phonics pdf from teachers pay teachers. We started 4 weeks ago and my newly turned 4 year old is already on to the 3 letter words. Such a great teaching tool.
Our vacations are expensive because family lives internationally. Otherwise we like driving to our destinations. Otherwise we don't do most of these things either.
Hi Jady! Would you mind posting the link for the jojoba oil you all use for your family? This is so wonderful thank you for sharing how we can all budget better! 🩷 Things we never think of!!

Where I live in Florida, the used clothes are more money than getting them from Ross, Beals and Burlington
I agree I live in Florida as well and the once upon a child is sooo expense. You as might as well by new.
@@Goldbosses1 Exactly, it’s pretty sad what it has come too, this world of greed.
Floridian here and agree. Once upon a child shirts for $8 and $10. Burlington or Ross has them for $5.
Yess same here
I'm not from FL, but who is buying secondhand at that price. The only way I would accept that being done is if it's name brand and of great quality.

It's good to know there are people who are doing this, I thank God for you. I love the list 100% and am glad I don't buy any of the things.

Me 2 Jady, I also shop thrift and I find a lot branded clothing. I have saved a lot of money over the years!
I have been making laundry soap for 13 years! Amazing ❤
Share your recipe friend!
I would love to know recipe and procedure as well! I know there are tons on TH-cam but 13 years is a long time 🤪 👏 😊
Great tips, that has given me good suggestions. Certain things my family enjoy, that I won’t cut out, but definitely other things we can without.
I struggle with buying paper towels out of convenience. I used to only use rags and it would be nice to get back to doing that
Thanks for sharing such helpful information! One cleaning product I use instead of Clorox is Vital Oxide.
Thank you for sharing. You keep it simple and natural.

Do you dye your hair ever? And what shampoo/conditioner do you use. I’m trying to be more minimal, too. Thank you for the tips.
Jojoba actually hydrates your skin and I feel good after I use it. I have always hated lotion!
