    I ended up buying a 36mm open end wrench on Amazon. My mini skid steer uses that same nut for both adjustment and lock nuts. Nice video!

      Thanks! I have one ordered, too.

    Can I use a standard wrench on the 36mm nut? Sometimes they will fit.

      I suppose you can use anything that will fit and turn it tight enough to stay put, but a sloppy wrench risks rounding off the nut. I wouldn't recommend it.

      I am delighted to know you find value in it. That's the kind of feedback that motivates me to keep it going. Thank you!

    Do you have a link for the tensioner bolt itself? Just sheared mine.

      No, I sure don't. I've never had it apart, so I don't even know what it looks like on the other end.

    Why is there a warning label about high pressure oil cylinder for track tensioning? I would have assumed it had the grease pressure track tensioners, not the threaded rod.

    • @thePFOchannel
      @thePFOchannel  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have no idea, but like you, I assumed this would have the grease pressure tensioner because of that sticker. When a viewer comment tipped me off to go looking for the lock nuts, I was shocked to actually see that mine has the screw tensioners.

      Do you know if the LH12 I get in auction actually has grease tensioners in there if they could be swapped with the threaded ones?

      Sorry, but I have no idea. I've never even seen the grease pressure type up close.

    The link to the nuts doesn't show a m24 2mm anymore...

      Thanks for letting me know. I wish the sellers would give notice when they do that! Here's a new link to the same thing from a different seller. amzn.to/3yVMcB8

    I just picked up the same machine.
    How well does it go up hills?
    Does this engine have a low oil shut off?
    How hot does the cowling get by your calf after running mine for about a hour it gets so hot it burns my calf!

      I don't have enough time
      on mine yet to have good answers for those questions. The only "hill" I've attempted was the ramp on the trailer. You can see how that turned out in the prior videos. The nature of the work I've done so far has all been about loading dirt into a trailer. It only takes a few minutes to fill up a trailer load, and I turn it off between loads. So, I have not had any significant heat issues yet. I'll go out and look for a low oil switch next chance I get and let you know if I find one. I don't recall seeing one, but have not specifically checked for it.

    I have seen vids on other models where they did have lock nuts. The 'L' series seems different enough it may be made in a different factory, my guess. Another YT'er at "The Garage Connection" has a lot of tech vids on the H series machines. Some have the hydraulic relief valve set too low and you do not get full power from the bucket. He also had a kit that bolted on and helped protect the drive motors that looked interesting. Final thing was a hose that screwed onto the motor to help when draining oil during future oil changes looked helpful.
    I may sell some logs from my wooded property and will need to re-invest in some equipment but just doing research till then.

      Thanks for the tips. I'm sure I'll be adding a lot of those common upgrades in the coming weeks. Speaking of wooded acreage, I've been back into the online auctions and will be rolling out another machine purchase soon. Stay tuned.

    I have the L12R and both are also missing. So does it come with or they forgot? But thanks for finding the Nut size will go purchase them ASAP.

      I've not heard from anyone who has one of these models that had the nuts on the track adjustment. So, maybe they just didn't choose to include that in their design.

    My l12 had a bad grease fitting on the track. Mine is greased tensioned. It is a 2023 l13

    • @thePFOchannel
      @thePFOchannel  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's interesting. I've wondered what the differences are between the L12 and the LH12R. So, mine apparently has the grease pressure warning stickers from an L12 but no grease tensioners to go with it. The AGT website has no information to help us sort out the features of their various models.

    The nuts were a perfect fit for the track tensioners. I notice that your exhaust pipe is about 2 1/2" shorter then on my excavator. (My store bought extends to just about flush to the shroud.) I've also found a You Tube channel from AGT that has video of the hydraulic oil system/filter/change: www.youtube.com/@AGTIndustrial . So far no major differences between your auction model and my store bought save that my bolts and nuts all seemed tight and lube/greasing had been done before delivery.

    • @thePFOchannel
      @thePFOchannel  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the feedback. So far, we have not heard from anyone who has one of these units that came with lock nuts on the track tensioners. They must have just overlooked that in the design. I need to put an extension on that exhaust pipe. I want it as long as possible without interfering with the hood movement, so it sounds like 2-1/2" is the number. Thanks!

    It looks like you need to buy some thread gauges. it's hard to measure it with a micrometer.
    It's probably just Chinese fine thread.

      I got the job done with what I had to work with. Thanks for watching.

  • @TF856
    @TF856 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    It would have taken 20 seconds to check it with the thread gauge instead of 6 minutes like it did on the video!
    And you probably could have got those nuts at a hardware store instead of sending away for them.
    You must love doing things the hard way.

    • @thePFOchannel
      @thePFOchannel  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My thread guage didn't go anywhere near 2.0mm and I live a long way from any hardware that would carry any metric nuts close to that size. Thanks for watching.
